Local Realism Quantum Mechanics Can Be Established: A Book Review of Quantum Mechanics’ Return to Local Realism

Abstract

The concept of wave function is widely used in existing quantum mechanics. However, the nature of the wave function is unanswerable. Many people are dissatisfied with the quantum mechanics of non-local realism and want to establish the quantum mechanics of local realism. But they did not break through the bottleneck. The model of wave curling inside the particle determines that the wave function is the motion equation of localized real wave. The wave mechanics based on such wave functions is quantum mechanics of localized realism. The mathematical formal system of local realism quantum mechanics is the same as the existing one. Explanation of double slit diffraction can be experiment by directional quantization. The explanation system of local realism quantum mechanics is established, and it is guaranteed that this system can also be organically combined with the existing mathematical formal systems of quantum mechanics.

All the experiments that prove that Einstein is wrong and Bohr won have a serious flaw or loophole that is difficult to overcome — Have to subjectively judge the state of the system before the measurement. Undoubtedly, the establishment of quantum mechanics of local realism is a strong support for Einstein. Many people are dissatisfied with the quantum mechanics of non-local realism and want to establish the quantum mechanics of local realism. But they did not break through the bottleneck. The concept of wave function is widely used in existing quantum mechanics. However, the nature of the wave function is unanswerable. The model of "real wave curling inside the particle" determines that the wave function is the motion equation of localized real wave. Local realism quantum mechanics has all the elements of a valuable new theory, and its birth conforms to the law of theoretical development.

Quantum Inverse Measurement Theory Contributing to the Birth of Interpretation System of Quantum Mechanics of Local-Realism and Determinism

Runsheng Tu

The existing interpretation of quantum mechanics is contrary to common sense. The existing quantum mechanical interpretation schemes are puzzling. The confusing theory is unconvincing, and needs to be amended and completed. The successful interpretation program of quantum mechanics of local-realism and determinism is undoubtedly the most attractive. Preparing the interpretation program deserves to be chosen as a research goal. It is a very good premise to believe that an object particle consists of light-knot of monochromatic waves. According to this premise, the erroneous recognition about “superposition principle, wave-particle duality and uncertainty principle” can be corrected. Under this premise, above research goal is achieved by establishing, applying quantum mechanics inverse measurement theory, adhering to the principle that there must be a complete empirical chain in the derivation process of experimental conclusion, and using the side effect caused by accompanying-light to explain the diffraction experiment of object particles. Electron secondarily diffraction and other experiments directly prove that there is the measurement (observation) which may not destroy quantum coherence. The diffraction experiments of all kinds of particles show that the Keeping and playing of the coherence of moving particles in the vacuum have nothing to do with their previous experience. These are the existing experiments, to be found, that support the theory of quantum inverse measurements. The verification experiment of quantum inverse measurement is designed. The absolute superiorities of quantum inverse measurement and the new view of measurement of quantum mechanics are listed. These superiorities are that: it has the characteristics of local-realism and determinism; it is not contrary to common sense and there is no confusing place; it can predict several phenomena that cannot be predicted by other theories. A solid theoretical foundation has been laid for “correctly understanding the microscopic world” and establishment of local realism quantum mechanics.

A local interpretation of QM

Lopez, Carlos

A local interpretation of quantum mechanics is presented. Its main ingredients are: first, a label attached to one of the virtual paths in the path integral formalism, determining the output for measurement of position or momentum; second, a mathematical model for spin states, equivalent to the path integral formalism for point particles in space time, with the corresponding label. The mathematical machinery of orthodox quantum mechanics is maintained, in particular amplitudes of probability and Born's rule; therefore, Bell's type inequalities theorems do not apply. It is shown that statistical correlations for pairs of particles with entangled spins have a description completely equivalent to the two slit experiment, that is, interference (wave like behaviour) instead of non locality gives account of the process. The interpretation is grounded in the experimental evidence of a point like character of electrons, and in the hypothetical existence of a wave like, the de Broglie, companion system. A correspondence between the extended Hilbert spaces of hidden physical states and the orthodox quantum mechanical Hilbert space shows the mathematical equivalence of both theories. Paradoxical behaviour with respect to the action reaction principle is analysed, and an experimental set up, modified two slit experiment, proposed to look for the companion system.

A case for local realism

Daniel Shanahan

The Schrodinger cat states supposed by quantum mechanics need not be considered intrinsically probabilistic or otherwise inconsistent with the existence of the particle in the physically real state assumed by classical physics. The further states contemplated by the formalism of standard quantum mechanics could be states, not of the particle itself, but of the apparatus - oscillatory disturbances induced by reaction as the particle is measured and mimicking the wave characteristics of a particle. If quantum states are understood in this way, much of what has seemed mysterious in quantum behaviour becomes consistent with local realism.

Quantum Mechanical Realism 1

Brian Ellis

This chapter develops metaphysics to include quantum mechanical realism. Quantum mechanics has always been the main obstacle to acceptance of scientific realism, and hence to any metaphysics based on scientific realism. Realism about Schrdinger waves requires the belief that particles are always transmitted as quantum mechanically indeterminate waves, but always act as classically determinate particles on whatever absorbs them. Acceptance of a realistic theory of Schrdinger waves, and of the very rapid or instantaneous changes of state that quantum theory implies, commits one to the view that all transitions from indeterminate to determinate states are temporally irreversible, apparently in contradiction to the widely accepted T-symmetry thesis. Realism about Schrdinger waves already implies a kind of non-locality, because what was spatially distributed before the event of determination suddenly becomes localized in that event. Quantum realism implies that there is a common species of elementary physical causation that is probabilistic, and directed from one determinate state of affairs to another.

Toward a Local, Realist, 3D Wave Field Theory of Quantum Mechanics

James Arneberg

I propose a local, realist interpretation of quantum mechanics based on a physical scalar wave field in ordinary three-dimensional space. Each fundamental particle (electron, photon, proton, etc.) possesses its own wave field. The field is fundamental — it is not emitted by the particle, nor does it draw energy from the particle’s motion. The particle is guided by the phase gradient of its own wave via a Bohmian guidance law. The wave evolves according to a linear Klein-Gordon equation. For a single particle this reproduces the full empirical success of quantum mechanics, including the hydrogen spectrum and the double-slit interference pattern. For multiple particles, each particle retains its own local 3D wave; no configuration space is needed. Entanglement is rejected as a fundamental physical phenomenon: the correlations observed in Bell-type experiments are interpreted as ordinary statistical correlations arising from common past interactions, not as evidence of non-locality or of a non-separable quantum state. The quantum mechanical wave function in configuration space is regarded as a mathematical tool, not a physical field. The theory is local, realist, and fully three-dimensional.
