Distant monitoring of entangled macro-objects

Abstract

The paper discusses application of long-range signal transmission system for distant monitoring of entangled macro-objects. The 'activity index' is introduced as a characteristic of distant objects and its meaning is analysed for different experimental and environmental conditions. Probabilistic parameters of non-local measurements, methods for increasing their reproducibility and reliability, as well as various configurations of the measuring system are described. The results of calibration and control experiments with geographic, physical, biological and symbolic objects are represented. The system enables testing entangled macro-objects on possessing specific features/properties measured by multiple devices in parallel. Distant monitoring can be used as part of a system conducting interactions with biological objects, as well as for independent usage as diagnostic or surveillance equipment.

Detection of Macroscopic Entanglement by Correlation of Local Observables

Akira Shimizu, Tomoyuki Morimae

We propose a correlation of local observables on many sites in macroscopic quantum systems. By measuring the correlation one can detect, if any, superposition of macroscopically distinct states, which we call macroscopic entanglement, in arbitrary quantum states that are (effectively) homogeneous. Using this property, we also propose an index of macroscopic entanglement.

New Nonlocal Biological Effect

Huping Hu, Maoxin Wu

We report here our experimental findings of new nonlocal biological effect measured objectively and quantitatively under blind conditions. The method used includes the steps of providing two parts of quantum-entangled medium, applying one part to a biological system such as a human, contacting the other part with a desired substance such as a medication, and detecting change of a biological parameter with a detecting device. Using this method, we have found that after consumption by a test subject of one part of the quantum entangled water, the subject’s heart rate was non-locally increased under blind conditions by adding to the second part of the quantum-entangled water an over-the-counter medication Primatene which contains the heart stimulant ephedrine. The said increase of heart rate is measurable with a heart rate monitor, statistically significant and consistently reproducible. Key Words: quantum entanglement, biological non-local effect, heart rate, heart stimulant.

Experimental Study of Macroscopic Nonlocality of Large-scale Natural Dissipative Processes

Sergey M. Korotaev, A N Morozov, V. O. Serdyuk +2 more

Phenomenon of quantum nonlocality may play an important role in some macroscopic brain processes. But as a matter of mechanism of persisting of entanglement on macro-level is very difficult, it is reasonable at the beginning to study macroscopic nonlocality on simple non-living systems. Nonlocal dependence of dissipative processes is described as relation of the entropy productions in a probe process (detector) and environment and probably has in its foundation quantum nonlocality. Its peculiarity is availability of unusual advanced correlation for noncontrolled by an observer processes. The natural process of geomagnetic variations gives a convenient possibility for study of this effect. The long-term experiment allowed to estimate the cross-section of nonlocal transaction and to detect advanced correlation. The possibility of employment of the latter for geomagnetic activity forecast has been demonstrated. Similar advanced transaction might take place in the dissipative processes in some brain structures.

Experimental secure entanglement-free quantum remote sensing over 50 km of optical fiber

Wenjie He, Chunfeng Huang, Rui Guan +3 more

Secure quantum remote sensing (SQRS) uses quantum states to gather information about distant objects or environments while ensuring secure data transmission against eavesdropping. It has potential applications in various fields, including environmental monitoring, military surveillance, and disaster response, where both data accuracy and transmission security are critical. Recent experiments have demonstrated the feasibility of SQRS using entanglement states. Here, we experimentally demonstrate an SQRS that can estimate a phase without requiring entanglement, offering the practical advantage that single-qubit states are easier to prepare. We successfully estimate the preset phase information at a remote site over a fiber distance of 50 km, which serves as a key step toward long-distance applications.

Entanglement detection and measurement of quantum systems

Shuang Cong

Various kinds of methods of entanglement detection and definitions of entanglement measurement in quantum systems were reviewed. For entanglement of two or more particles, some separability criterions were summarized.Their relationships with positive map and the relationships between themselves were also analyzed.Particularly, concentrations on entanglement witness are paid which is a special criterion involving its definition and construction methods.Further, its applications are also investigated from the viewpoint of experiment.Based on axiomatic hypothesis of entanglement measurement, the theoretical definitions of two-particle and multipartite entanglement, and their estimations in experiment were discussed. At last, various nonlinear separability criterions were analyzed.
