Abstract

In this short paper, we consider the non-binary quantum codes construction from a class of linear codes, which are not self-orthogonal over finite fields. As the computational results, new quantum codes [[8, 0, ≥ 4]]3, [[8, 2, ≥ 3]]3, [[11, 1, ≥ 5]]3, [[10, 0, ≥ 5]]4, and [[16, 6, ≥ 4]]4are obtained.

New Non-binary Quantum Codes Over Fq+uFq+vFq+uvFq

Leilei Gao

Let R= Fq+uFq+vFq+uvFq be a commutative ring with u2=u, v2=v, uv=vu, where q is a power of an odd prime. Ashraf and Mohammad constructed some new quantum codes from cyclic codes. Under this background, another Gray map from R to Fq4 is given. This map can be naturally extended to Rn. The problem on the ring turns to the field by this isomorphic map now. Therefore, This mapping is obviously a weight-preserving and distance-preserving map. The results show that the codes after mapping are self-orthogonal codes over Fq if they are self-orthogonal codes over R. Some computational examples show that some better non-binary quantum codes can be obtained under this Gray map. We discuss the structure of linear codes. On this basis, the structure of the generating matrix of linear codes is obtained. The structure of their dual codes is also obtained. The CSS construction guarantees the existence of quantum codes. Finally, with the help of the CSS construction, we get some good quantum codes. By comparison, our quantum codes have better parameters.

Non-binary quantum codes constructed from classical BCH codes

You Gao, Ya-Yuan Tao

Let q be a power of an odd prime number p. We use finite fields to character q-ary BCH codes, then use puncturing and gluing methods to construct self-orthogonal BCH codes. Finally we obtain families of q-ary quantum codes by using the self-orthogonal BCH codes constructed.

On the generalization of the construction of quantum codes from Hermitian self-orthogonal codes

Carlos Galindo, Fernando Hernando

Abstract Many q-ary stabilizer quantum codes can be constructed from Hermitian self-orthogonal $$q^2$$ q 2 -ary linear codes. This result can be generalized to $$q^{2 m}$$ q 2 m -ary linear codes, $$m > 1$$ m > 1 . We give a result for easily obtaining quantum codes from that generalization. As a consequence we provide several new binary stabilizer quantum codes which are records according to Grassl (Bounds on the minimum distance of linear codes, http://www.codetables.de , 2020) and new q-ary ones, with $$q \ne 2$$ q ≠ 2 , improving others in the literature.

Quantum error-correcting codes from matrix-product codes related to quasi-orthogonal and quasi-unitary matrices

Cao, Meng

Matrix-product codes over finite fields are an important class of long linear codes by combining several commensurate shorter linear codes with a defining matrix over finite fields. The construction of matrix-product codes with certain self-orthogonality over finite fields is an effective way to obtain good $q$-ary quantum codes of large length. This article has two purposes: the first is to summarize some results of this topic obtained by the author of this article and his cooperators in [10-12]; the second is to add some new results on quasi-orthogonal matrices (resp. quasi-unitary matrices), Euclidean dual-containing (resp. Hermitian dual-containing) matrix-product codes and $q$-ary quantum codes derived from these matrix-product codes.

New Non-Binary Stabilizer Quantum Codes Derived from Quasi-Negacyclic Codes

Jingjie Lv, Xi Zhang, Ruihu Li

Constructions of quantum error-correcting codes with good properties utilizing classical codes is an important task for quantum computing and quantum information. In this paper, we employ a class of one-generator quasi-negacyclic codes and provide a sufficient condition for symplectic self-orthogonality. As the computational results, some good non-binary stabilizer quantum codes are constructed and their parameters are determined.

New quantum codes from self-dual codes over F_4

Reza Dastbasteh, Petr Lisoněk

We present new constructions of binary quantum codes from quaternary linear Hermitian self-dual codes. Our main ingredients for these constructions are nearly self-orthogonal cyclic or duadic codes over F_4. An infinite family of $0$-dimensional binary quantum codes is provided. We give minimum distance lower bounds for our quantum codes in terms of the minimum distance of their ingredient linear codes. We also present new results on the minimum distance of linear cyclic codes using their fixed subcodes. Finally, we list many new record-breaking quantum codes obtained from our constructions.
