The one-particle Green’s function is calculated in a low-density approximation for a system of interacting bosons. The energy spectrum of states near to the ground state (quasi-particle spectrum is derived.
In this paper properties of a boson gas at zero temperature are investigated by means of field-theoretic methods. Difficulties arising from the depletion of the ground state are resolved in a simple way by the elimination of the zero-momentum state. The result of this procedure when applied to the calculation of the Green's functions of the system is identical to that of Beliaev. It is then shown generally that for a repulsive interaction the energy E(k) of a phonon of momentum k, which is found as the pole of a one-particle Green's function, approaches zero for zero momentum, which means that the phonon spectrum does not exhibit an energy gap.The Green's function method is applied to the calculation of the properties of a low-density boson gas. The next order term beyond that calculated by Lee and Yang, and Beliaev for the ground-state energy is obtained and the general form of the series expansion is found to be $(\frac{{E}_{0}}{\ensuremath{\Omega}})=\frac{1}{2}{n}^{2}{f}_{0}[1+a{(n{{f}_{0}}^{3})}^{\frac{1}{2}}+b(n{{f}_{0}}^{3})\mathrm{ln}n{{f}_{0}}^{3}+c(n{{f}_{0}}^{3})+d{(n{{f}_{0}}^{3})}^{\frac{3}{2}}\mathrm{ln}(n{{f}_{0}}^{3})+\ensuremath{\cdots}],$ where n is the density and f0 is the scattering length for the assumed two-body interaction between the bosons. The coefficients a and b are independent of the shape of the interaction, and are the only terms thus far calculated. The coefficient b is in agreement with the hard-sphere gas calculations of Wu and of Sawada.A discussion is given of the intermediate-density calculation of Brueckner and Sawada, and certain possible improvements in the method of summing a selected set of higher-order terms are proposed.
The excitation spectrum of the interacting Bose gas has two branches. The first branch was dominated in the low momentum area and high density of the ground state particles and the second one was dominated in the high momentum area and was existed in the density of the ground state particles which lower than the existed density of the ground state particles of the first branch. The functional integrals method was used. The Hamiltonian was introduced in form of the combination of field operators which was divided into two parts; ground state particles and exicted particles were described respectively the action and partition function were calculated and were introduced partition function poles which were defined as excitation spectrum. According to the definition of excitation energy of ground was equal to zero, parameters were calculated and devided both forms of Bose excitation spectrums in phase space. The interaction between boson particles in the system was replaced by our ansatz interaction. Its behaviour was like the Lennard-Jones potential. The ansatz interaction was mentioned in configuration space was varied with [e -alphar/(betar)2 - e -alphar/(betar)] by assigning α, β as unity with the inversion unit of length.
Model of the degenerated weakly non-ideal Bose gas is considered without suggestion on C-number representation of the creation and annihilation operators with zero momentum. The "density-density" correlation function and the one-particle Green function are calculated on basis of the suggestion about C-number representation of the operator of particle density in the Bose condensate. It is shown, that the pole in the "density-density" Green function determines the Bogolyubov's spectrum of the collective excitations, which have the phonon-roton form. At the same time the spectrum of the one-particle excitations possesses a gap, whose value is connected with the density of particles in the Bose condensate.
