Evolution of Two Non-identical Two-Level Atoms in Two-Mode Cavity Fields

Ming Zhang, Wang Wengang, Hong‐Yi Dai +1 more

In this paper, we investigate the evolution of two non-identical two-level atoms in two-mode cavity fields. We demonstrate the death and rebirth effect of entanglement for two non-identical two-level atoms under some initial conditions. It is also exemplified that entangled states of two nonidentical two-level atoms can be generated by entangled two-mode cavity fields. This research can be considered as a first step to further investigate the problem of manipulating two nonidentical two-level atoms in two-mode cavity fields.

Splitting the wavefunctions of two particles in two boxes

S. J. van Enk

I consider two identical quantum particles in two boxes. We can split each box and thereby the wavefunction of each particle into two parts. When two half boxes are interchanged and combined with the other halves, where are the two particles? I solve this problem for two identical bosons and for two identical fermions. The solution can be used to define a measurement that yields some information about the relative phase between the two parts of a split wavefunction.

Collective dynamics of two two-level and three-level atoms with nondegenerate two-photon transitions in two-mode cavity

Eugene K. Bashkirov

The entanglement between two identical two-level atoms interacting with two mode thermal field through a nondegenerate two-photon process has been suggested. The role of detuning has been illustrated by the example of simple one-mode two-atom model.
