Abstract

We investigate the entropy squeezing of a two-level atom in the Jaynes–Cummings model, and provide a scheme to generate the sustained optimal entropy squeezing of the atom via non-Hermitian operation. Our results show that the squeezing degree and the persistence time of entropy squeezing of atomic polarization components greatly depend on the non-Hermiticity intensity in non-Hermitian operation. Especially, under a proper choice of non-Hermiticity parameters, the sustained optimal entropy squeezing of the atom can be generated even though the atom is initially prepared in a no entropy squeezing state.

Entropy squeezing for a two-level atom in the Jaynes-Cummings model with an intensity-depend coupling

Chun-Xian Li, Mao-Fa Fang

We study the squeezing for a two-level atom in the Jaynes-Cummings model with intensity-dependent coupling using quantum information entropy and examine the influences of the initial state of the system on the squeezed component number and direction of the information entropy squeezing. Our results show that, the squeezed component number depends on the atomic initial distribution angle, while the squeezed direction is determined by both the phases of the atom and the field for the information entropy squeezing. Quantum information entropy is shown to be a remarkable precision measure for atomic squeezing.

Atomic entropy squeezing of the Jaynes-Cummings model driven by classical fields in non-Markovian environment

Cai Cheng-Jun, Mao-Fa Fang, Xing Mao Xiao +1 more

The atomic entropy squeezing of the Jaynes-Cummings model driven by classical fields in non-Markovian environment is investigated according to the non-Markovian quantum theory and the entropy squeezing theory. Our attention is focused on the influences of the non-Markovian effects, the Rabi frequencys of classical fields and the detuning on the atomic entropy squeezing. And we explain the atomic entropy squeezing dynamic by the memory effects of the non-Markovian processes. It is found that the atomic entropy squeezing can be maintained for a long time when both the Rabi frequencys of classical fields and the non-Markovian effect are present simultaneously. And we can obtain the optimal squeezing states by choosing appropriate parameters of the Rabi frequency and the detuning of classical field. Our results provide a potential method of generating high-degree squeezed and longtime atomic squeezing states by controlling the atom-field interaction.

Entropy squeezing of a Jaynes–Cummings atom with the Glauber–Lachs state

Hünkar Kayhan

In this paper, we investigate the entropy squeezing of a two-level atom interacting with a quantum field prepared initially in the Glauber–Lachs state by using the Jaynes–Cummings model. We explore the effects of increasing the intensity of the thermal field over a fixed intensity of the coherent field on the entropy squeezing of the atom. We show that increasing the number of thermal photons in the coherent field has a destructive effect on the entropy squeezing of the atom.

Entropy squeezing of a two-mode multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model in the presence of a nonlinear medium

Mahmoud Abdel‐Aty, M. Sebawe Abdalla, A.‐S. F. Obada

From a quantum information point of view we study the entropy squeezing of a two-level atom interacting with two modes with intensity-dependent coupling. The Hamiltonian we consider consists of all acceptable forms of nonlinearities. A definition of squeezing is presented for this system, based on information theory. The utility of the definition is illustrated by examining squeezing in the information entropy of a two-level atom in the presence of a nonlinear medium. We examine the influence of the nonlinear interaction, the atomic coherence and the detuning parameter on the properties of the entropy and squeezing of the atomic variables. It is shown that features of the quantum entropy are influenced significantly by the kinds of intensity-dependent atom-field coupling and the nonlinearities of the two-mode fields.

Entropy squeezing of an atom with a k -photon in the Jaynes–Cummings model

Dongpeng Kang, Liao Qing-Hong, Ahamd Muhammad Ashfaq +2 more

The entropy squeezing of an atom with a k -photon in the Jaynes–Cummings model is investigated. For comparison, we also study the corresponding variance squeezing and atomic inversion. Analytical results show that entropy squeezing is preferable to variance squeezing for zero atomic inversion. Moreover, for initial conditions of the system the relation between squeezing and photon transition number is also discussed. This provides a theoretical approach to finding out the optimal entropy squeezing.
