Abstract

Multipartite entanglement is a key resource for quantum information processing and quantum communication. We show that the robust entanglement among four filtered output optical modes can be achieved when there is a nonlinear crystal inside an optomechanical cavity. The optical parametric amplifier (OPA) gives rise to single-mode squeezing of the cavity modes; therefore, the entanglement among four output optical modes can be enhanced remarkably. Furthermore, the degree of quadripartite entanglement is influenced by the nonlinear gain of OPA and bandwidth of the filters. Large entanglement can be obtained by optimizing the filter functions, which is important for utilizing entangled light beams more efficiently in real experiments. This kind of multipartite entanglement will be useful and valuable in the area of quantum communication networks.

Enhanced entanglement of two optical modes in optomechanical systems via an optical parametric amplifier

Rong-Guo Yang, Ni Li, Jing Zhang +2 more

Abstract We investigate the effect of a degenerate optical parametric amplifier (OPA) placed inside an optomechanical cavity on the steady-state entanglement of two cavity modes, which jointly interact with a mechanical resonator. Two cavity modes are, respectively, driven at the red and blue sideband associated with the mechanical resonator, which generates entanglement between them in the limit of resolved sideband. The OPA gives rise to single-mode squeezing of the cavity fields, which results in significant improvement of the two-mode entanglement. It is found that an optimal nonlinear gain of the OPA exists, depending on the system temperatures, which yields the maximum entanglement. The improvement is particularly remarkable for the system at cryogenic temperatures.

Enhancing Bipartite Entanglement via Optical Parametric Amplifier in an Optomechanical Device

Sisay Belachew, Firomsa Feyissa

On this paper, we present an in depth evaluation of the bipartite entanglement of cavity radiation from the optomechanical device with an optical parametric amplifier (OPA) placed inside two cavity mode, which together have interaction with a mechanical resonator. Right here by linearizing the equations of motion, we set the entanglement gift inside the gadget, the use of the logarithmic negativity as a degree. We thereby symbolize the adjustments inside the machine entanglement that result from the addition of an quadratic coupling to a linearly coupled gadget. With the assist of the optical parametric amplifier, the desk bounds macroscopic entanglement between the movable replicate and the hollow space subject can be mainly more suitable, and the degree of entanglement increases while the parametric gain increases as well as input laser electricity will increase. For that reason, while an optical parametric amplifier is delivered inside a hollow space, which leads to extensive improvement of the two-mode entanglement. These results establish a promising theoretical basis for optical parametric amplifier (OPA) more suitable bipartite entanglement of optomechanical device for quantum technology and advanced quantum information processing applications.

Optimizing the output-photon entanglement in multimode optomechanical systems

Zhi Jiao Deng, Xiao-Bo Yan, Ying-Dan Wang +1 more

Entangled light beams are important resources for quantum information processing. For some applications like teleportation, only the entanglement between two wave packets (two harmonic oscillators) is needed. So the calculation of output-photon entanglement involves projecting continuous output modes onto wave-packet modes by filter functions, thus resulting in a strong dependence of entanglement on the filter functions. In this paper, we aim at optimizing the filter functions to obtain a large entanglement in a relatively short time, which is important for utilizing the entangled light beams more efficiently in real experiments. We outline the general optimization procedures based on our previous schemes of generating entangled beams in a multimode optomechanical system. Moreover, we give analytic insights into as well as physical explanations of the wave-packet optimization, which are helpful for experimental estimations.

Bipartite entanglement generation in an electro-optomechanical ring cavity via charge-mediated coupling

Fouad Essaadi, Yassine Oussarhan, S. Mouslih +5 more

We present a theoretical investigation of quantum entanglement enhancement in an electro-optomechanical system comprising a ring cavity with two Coulomb-coupled mechanical resonators and an embedded optical parametric amplifier (OPA). The system dynamics are governed by radiation pressure interactions between the optical field and mechanical modes, modified by both the Coulomb coupling and OPA-induced squeezing. Through a comprehensive quantum Langevin analysis and linearization approach, we demonstrate how these competing interactions can be exploited to generate and control entanglement. Our key finding is that the Coulomb interaction strength is fundamental for generating bipartite entanglement, both between directly coupled mechanical modes and, more remarkably, between optical and mechanical modes, thereby influencing the entire system. The OPA parameters, namely the gain and phase, provide powerful control knobs for entanglement optimization. Notably, the OPA enhances entanglement robustness against thermal noise, resulting in stronger quantum correlations. We quantify these effects through covariance matrix methods and logarithmic negativity measures. The study provides new insights into hybrid optomechanical entanglement generation, showing how combined charge-mediated coupling and optical squeezing can overcome typical limitations of purely optomechanical systems. These results offer practical guidelines for experimental implementations in quantum information processing and macroscopic quantum state engineering, particularly in systems where environmental noise and parameter stability are critical concerns.

Improving macroscopic entanglement with nonlocal mechanical squeezing

Chang‐Sheng Hu, Xinyu Lin, Li-Tuo Shen +4 more

We report an efficient mechanism to generate mechanical entanglement in a two-cascaded cavity optomechanical system with optical parametric amplifiers (OPAs) inside the two coupled cavities. We use the especially tuned OPAs to squeeze the hybrid mode composed of two mechanical modes, leading to strong macroscopic entanglement between the two movable mirrors. The squeezing parameter as well as the effective mechanical damping are both modulated by the OPA gains. The optimal degree of mechanical entanglement therefore depends on the balanced process between coherent hybrid mode squeezing and dissipation engineering. The mechanical entanglement is robust to strong cavity decay, going beyond simply resolved sideband regime, and is resistant to reasonable high thermal noise. The scheme provides an alternative way for generating strong macroscopic entanglement in cascaded optomechanical systems.

Steady-state entanglement in a hybrid optomechanical system enhanced by optical parametric amplifiers

Abraham Abebe Kibret, Tewodros Yirgashewa Darge, Tesfay Gebremariam Tesfahannes

In this paper, we investigate the degree of steady-state entanglement using a hybrid optomechanical system, where the separate cavities contain a degenerate optical parametric amplifier (DOPA). Particularly, under the linearization approximation, the steady-state entanglement is quantified through logarithmic negativity. The bipartite entanglement between cavity-mechanical oscillator modes and two cavity modes is analyzed through the applicable choice of nonlinear gain of OPA, optical cavity detuning, and cavity-cavity coupling strength. It is found that the steady-state entanglement increases with the nonlinear gain of OPA medium and normalized detuning. We further emphasize the influence of cavity-cavity coupling parameter on the bipartite entanglement, and the generation of entanglement can be transferred entirely due to the coupling strengths. The main contribution of coupling parameters on the entanglement of the two modes of mechanical oscillators significantly altered and increased. The observed possibility of transferring the emerging entanglement of the states of light in the two cavities to the modes of the accompanying mechanical oscillators is expected to be a valuable asset in the practical realization of quantum information processing .
