Renormalization of Tripartite Entanglement in Spin Systems with Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya Interaction

Meng Qin, Li Wang, Bili Wang +3 more

Quantum entanglement represents a fundamental feature of quantum many-body systems. We combine tripartite entanglement with quantum renormalization group theory to study the quantum critical phenomena. The Ising model and the Heisenberg X X Z model in the presence of the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction are adopted as the research objects. We identify that the tripartite entanglement can signal the critical point. The derivative of tripartite entanglement shows singularity as the spin chain size increases. Furthermore, the intuitive scaling behavior of the system selected is studied and the result allows us to precisely quantify the correlation exponent by utilizing the power law .

Random exchange effects in antiferromagnetic quantum spin chains: A Monte Carlo study

H.-B. Schüttler, Douglas J. Scalapino, Paul Michael Grant

We have carried out Monte Carlo studies of a random-exchange antiferromagnetic spin-(1/2) chain. For systems with XY-like (anisotropic) and with Heisenberg (isotropic) coupling, our results confirm the existence of a disorder-induced low-temperature (T) divergence in the long-wavelength ${S}^{z}$-${S}^{z}$ susceptibility \ensuremath{\chi} which was previously predicted by real-space renormalization-group (RSRG) treatments. Over the finite temperature range studied, these results are consistent with a 1/(T ${\mathrm{ln}}^{2}$T) behavior of \ensuremath{\chi}, and hence in qualitative agreement with the RSRG results. As in the XY-Heisenberg regime, we also find a disorder-induced enhancement of the low-T susceptibility for a system with Ising-like exchange coupling which, over the finite temperature range studied, is again consistent with RSRG results. However, there are inconsistencies between the RSRG predictions in the Ising-like regime at very low temperatures, and the exact results for the random-exchange Ising chain and the low-temperature behavior of \ensuremath{\chi} in the Ising-like regime may in fact be more complicated than predicted by RSRG. Finally, we also present results for the antiferromagnetic susceptibility and structure factor. For both Heisenberg and Ising-like systems, we find that disorder suppresses the long-range antiferromagnetic correlations at low T.

Exact and density matrix renormalization group studies of two mixed spin- (12,52,12) branched-chain models developed for a heterotrimetallic Fe-Mn-Cu coordination polymer

Fabiana Souza, Luan M. Veríssimo, Jozef Strečka +2 more

The mixed-spin Ising-Heisenberg and Heisenberg branched chains whose magnetic backbone consists of regularly alternating spins 1/2 and 5/2, the latter of which are additionally coupled to an extra spin 1/2 providing lateral branching, are investigated using exact analytical and density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) methods. The proposed spin-chain models capture some relevant aspects of the heterotrimetallic coordination polymer $[\mathrm{Cu}\mathrm{Mn}(\mathrm{L})][\mathrm{Fe}(\mathrm{bpb}){(\mathrm{CN})}_{2}]\ifmmode\cdot\else\textperiodcentered\fi{}\mathrm{Cl}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}\ifmmode\cdot\else\textperiodcentered\fi{}{\mathrm{H}}_{2}\mathrm{O}$. The mixed spin-$(1/2,5/2,1/2)$ Ising-Heisenberg branched chain is exactly solvable under the assumption of an Ising-like exchange coupling along the chain, while the lateral branching is treated as an anisotropic $XXZ$ Heisenberg exchange interaction. We determine the ground-state phase diagram and quantify a bipartite quantum entanglement between dimers at lateral branching. It is shown that the studied mixed-spin Ising-Heisenberg branched chain accurately fits available experimental data for temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility. The ground-state phase diagram of the analogous mixed spin-$(1/2,5/2,1/2)$ Heisenberg branched chain is obtained within the DMRG method. The ground-state phase diagrams of the Ising-Heisenberg and its full Heisenberg counterpart are contrasted. In particular, the ground-state phase diagram of the mixed-spin Heisenberg branched chain involves a special Gaussian critical point, for which a proper finite-size scaling analysis is provided to accurately estimate its location and the correlation length critical exponent.
