Aharonov-Bohm Effect and the Supersymmetry of Identical Anyons

Vít Jakubský

We briefly review the relation between the Aharonov-Bohm effect and the dynamical realization of anyons. We show how the particular symmetries of the Aharonov-Bohm model give rise to the (nonlinear) supersymmetry of the two-body system of identical anyons.

Bound State Aharonov-Bohm Effect and Anyons

ABDULLAH VERÇİN, NUSRET GÜÇLÜ

The effects of a standing solenoid in the energy and total angular momentum eigenstates of $N$ anyon moving in a static and uniform magnetic field are investigated. It has been shown that, without changing the statistics of the eigenfunctions, a kind of statistical transmutation in the spectra is possible by adjusting the flux of the solenoid. Keywords: Aharonov-Bohm Effect, Anyons, Transmutation of the Statistics.

Aharonov–Bohm Effect and Charge–Flux Composites

Steven H. Simon

Abstract We give a basic introduction to the Aharonov-Bohm effect, and use this effect to construct a toy-model of anyons known as the“charge-flux” model. We explore some of the basic properties of this model, including fusion of anyons, antiparticles, and the degeneracy of the ground state on a torus, which is related to the number of species of anyons. This degeneracy can in principle serve as a quantum memory.
