Quantum coherence preservation of atom with a classical driving field under non-Markovian environment

Abstract

The exact dynamics of an open quantum system consisting of one qubit driven by a classical driving field is investigated. Our attention is focused on the influences of single- and two-photon excitations on the dynamics of quantum coherence and quantum entanglement. It is shown that the atomic coherence can be improved or even maintained by the classical driving field, the non-Markovian effect, and the atom-reservoir detuning. The interconversion between the atomic coherence and the atom-reservoir entanglement exists and can be controlled by the appropriate conditions. The conservation of coherence for different partitions is explored, and the dynamics of a system with two-photon excitations is different from the case of single- photon excitation.

Classical-driving-assisted coherence dynamics and its conservation

Gao De-ying, Qiang Gao, Yun‐Jie Xia

We investigate the quantum coherence and quantum entanglement dynamics of a classical driven single atom coupled to a single-mode cavity. It is shown that the transformation between the atomic coherence and the atom-field entanglement exists, and can be improved by adjusting the classical driving field. The joint evolution of two identical single-body systems is also studied. The results show the quantum coherence transfers among composite subsystems, and the coherence conservation of composite subsystems is obtained. Moreover, the classical driving field can be used to suppress the decay of the coherence and entanglement, owing to considering the leaky cavity. The non-Markovian dynamics of the system is also discussed finally.

Dynamics of entanglement protection of two qubits using a driven laser field and detunings: Independent and common, Markovian and/or non-Markovian regimes

Sare Golkar, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

Preventing quantum entanglement from decoherence effect is of theoretical and practical importance in the quantum information processing technologies. In this regard, we consider the entanglement dynamics of two identical qubits where the qubits which are coupled to two independent (Markovian and/or non-Markovian) as well as a common reservoir at zero temperature are further interacted with a classical driving laser field. Then, we study the preservation of generated two-qubit entanglement in various situations using the concurrence measure. It is shown that by applying the classical driving field and so the possibility of controlling the Rabi frequency, the amount of entanglement of the two-qubit system is improved in the off-resonance condition between the qubit and the central cavity frequencies (central detuning) in both non-Markovian and Markovian reservoirs. While the central detuning has a constructive role, the detuning between the qubit and the classical field (laser detuning) affects negatively on the entanglement protection. The obtained results show that long-living entanglement in the non-Markovian reservoir is more accessible than in the Markovian reservoir. We demonstrate that, in a common reservoir non-zero stationary entanglement is achievable whenever the two-qubit system is coupled to the reservoir with appropriate values of relative coupling strengths.

Quantum correlations and coherence in a driven two-qubit system under non-Markovian dissipative effect

K. Berrada, Bahaaudin Mohammadnoor Raffah, Hichem Eleuch

By considering an exactly solvable model for a driven two non-interacting qubits, each coupled to a bosonic environment with zero temperature, under the non-Markovian dissipative process, we study the variation of coherence and correlations in terms of different physical parameters. We show the influence of the external classical driving field as well as the initial quantum states. Moreover, we highlight the relationship between the coherence, single-qubit population, and correlations according to the physical parameters of the whole system. We reveal that the preservation and enhancement of coherence and correlations may occur by adjusting the strength of the classical driving field, initial states, and non-Markovian effects.

Quantum enhancement of qutrit dynamics through driving field and photonic-band-gap crystal

Negar Nikdel Yousefi, Ali Mortezapour, Ghasem Naeimi +3 more

A comparative study of a qutrit (three-level atomic system) coupled to a classical field in a typical Markovian reservoir (free space) and in a photonic-band-gap (PBG) crystal is carried out. The aim of the study is to assess the collective impact of a structured environment and classical control of the system on the dynamics of quantum coherence, non-Markovianity, and estimation of parameters that are initially encoded in the atomic state. We show that the constructive interplay of PBG material as a medium and a classical driving field as a part of the system results in a significant enhancement of all the quantum traits of interest, compared to the case when the driven qutrit is in a Markovian environment. Our results supply insights for preserving and enhancing quantum features in qutrit systems, which are promising alternative candidates to be used in quantum processors instead of qubits.

Environment-induced quantum correlations in a driven two-qubit system

Jun‐Qi Li, Jian Liu, J-Q Liang

We study the generation of quantum correlations between two qubits coupled to a common non-Markovian environment and driven by a classical external field. It is shown that both the classical driving field and the non-Markovian properties play a key role in improving entanglement and geometric quantum discord as well as Bell nonlocality. Moreover, the dual role of detuning Δ between qubits and the driving field in the creation of quantum correlations is also demonstrated.

Entanglement dynamics of an open moving-biparticle system driven by classical-field

Qilin Wang, Rongfang Liu, Hong‐Mei Zou +2 more

Abstract In this work, the entanglement dynamics of a moving-biparticle system driven by an external classical field are investigated, where the moving-biparticle system is coupled with a zero temperature common environment. The analytical expressions of the density operator and the entanglement can be obtained by using the dressed-state basis when the total excitation number is one. We also discuss in detail the effects of different parameters on the entanglement dynamics. The results show that the classical driving can not only protect the entanglement, but also effectively eliminate the influence of the qubit velocity and the detuning on the quantum entanglement.
