Quantum games have gained considerable interest from researchers. In this paper, on the basis of the Web of Science database, through the use of the social network analysis methods, the literature on quantum games is analyzed from three aspects: the keywords co-occurrence, co-authorship, and co-citation. In the process of analysis, the main quantum game models are reviewed with graphical illustrations. Our paper provides a survey and outline of the current status of research in this field, and identify directions for future work.

Quantum Machine Learning is an interdisciplinary field that combines the principles of quantum physics, quantum computers, and machine learning to enhance computational performance. In recent years, there have been significant advancements in the field of quantum machine learning. Researchers have developed quantum algorithms for various tasks. Furthermore, quantum machine learning has been applied to various domains, such as chemistry, cryptography, and finance. Previous bibliometric surveys in this area covered the period from 2014 to 2020. However, as demonstrated in this paper, the pace of publication has increased significantly from 2018 to the present. Therefore, it has become essential to provide a new analysis of the current state of research in this field. In this paper, we deployed visualization tools to analyze co-authorships, co-occurrences, and keyword density in this research area. Our study covers and analyzes a total of 918 publications from the Web of Science database and 1171 publications from the Scopus database from 2006 to 2022. Following the analysis, we identify research questions, opportunities, and research gaps in the field of Quantum Machine Learning.
Attention to the very physical aspects of information characterizes the current research in quantum computation, quantum cryptography and quantum communication. In most of the cases quantum description of the system provides advantages over the classical approach. Game theory, the study of decision making in conflict situation has already been extended to the quantum domain. We would like to review the latest development in quantum game theory that is relevant to information processing. We will begin by illustrating the general idea of a quantum game and methods of gaining an advantage over "classical opponent". Then we review the most important game theoretical aspects of quantum information processing. On grounds of the discussed material, we reason about possible future development of quantum game theory and its impact on information processing and the emerging information society. The idea of quantum artificial intelligence is explained.
Quantum science is accelerating the transition from research to industrialized applications and scenarios, and its potential disruptive power in the development of future technological transformation, operational modes, and economy is emerging. In this study, we describe the state of the art of quantum science, and we attempt to provide an overview of quantum mechanics and its relevant prospects. On the other hand, we employ a certain tool (Biblioshiny from R Project) to analyze the relevant articles from Web of Science (WoS). The analysis shows that quantum science is an interdisciplinary field that is attracting more and more attention from both academia and practice. The application of quantum computer needs more time to be realized, it is potential to improve and change the whole society in many aspects.
Abstract This article provides an overview of existing quantum physics-related games, referred to as quantum games, that serve citizen science research in quantum physics. Additionally, we explore the connection between citizen science and quantum computer games, games played on quantum computers. The information presented is derived from academic references and supplemented by diverse sources, including social media publications, conference presentations and blog posts from research groups and developers associated with the presented games. We observe that the current landscape of quantum games is shaped by three distinct driving forces: the serious application of games, the evolution of quantum computers and open game development events such as Quantum Game Jams. Notably, citizen science plays an influential role in all three aspects. The article points to existing design guides for citizen science quantum games and views future prospects of citizen science projects and quantum games through collaborative endeavours, human–machine collaboration and open access quantum computers.
In this research article, we survey existing quantum physics-related games and, based on this survey, propose a definition for the concept of quantum games. We define a quantum game as any type of rule-based game that either employs the principles of quantum physics or references quantum phenomena or the theory of quantum physics through any of three proposed dimensions: the perceivable dimension of quantum physics, the dimension of quantum technologies, and the dimension of scientific purposes, such as citizen science or education. We also discuss the concept of quantum computer games, which are games on quantum computers, as well as definitions for the concept of science games. Various games explore quantum physics and quantum computing through digital, analogue, and hybrid means, with various incentives driving their development. As interest in games as educational tools for supporting quantum literacy grows, understanding the diverse landscape of quantum games becomes increasingly important. We propose that the three dimensions of quantum games identified in this article be used for designing, analysing, and defining the phenomenon of quantum games.
Quantum computing is a revolutionary field of research in science and technology, which provides sophisticated processing capacity and computation in a finite time frame based on quantum mechanics. It has the great potential to offer more effective and faster solutions to overcome current processing constraints. Therefore, to address the global significance, relevance, and exponential growth, it is imperative to conduct a thorough investigation and promote advancements through rigorous scientometric analysis. The current article presents the knowledge mapping of rapidly expanding quantum computing research using the CiteSpace visualization tool. The foundation of research is the scientific literature on quantum computing extracted from the Scopus database, covering the period of 2008–2022. It provides publication patterns, citation structure, and in-depth keyword co-occurrence network analysis insights to extract emerging research areas. It illustrates a variety of empirical approaches to discover the status quo and evolution. The findings reveal that quantum algorithms serve as the fundamental basis for all research fields, and quantum machine learning is the most active research area nowadays.
