Quantum Information Security Protocols and Quantum Coding Theory

Xin Lu, Zhi Ma

Quantum computation has important impacts on information security and modern cryptography. In 1994, Shor demonstrated that the problem of finding the prim factors of an integer, and the so called "discrete logarithm problem" could be solved efficiently on a quantum computer. Quantum information can also be proved to devise unconditionally secure cryptography protocols. In this paper, we introduce the most recent research progress in quantum information security and quantum coding theory and review several quantum quantum cryptography protocols that we have proposed.

Quantum Information Cryptography Protocol Design

Jincheng Zhang

Quantum information cryptography offers the potential for unprecedented security through the use of quantum mechanics. This paper presents a novel quantum information cryptography protocol designed to establish unbreakable encryption utilizing entanglement and quantum error correction principles. We explore a quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol that incorporates a novel error correction mechanism based on quantum error correction principles. The design focuses on creating a robust and resilient encryption system capable of resisting known attacks. The proposed protocol utilizes entanglement to generate a shared secret key, which is then protected by a quantum error correction mechanism. This paper details the protocol's architecture, error correction strategies, and potential security implications.

Modern quantum technologies of cryptographic information protection

Yevhen Vasiliu

Quantum cryptography is a new paradigm of cryptographic information protection, utilizing the laws of quantum mechanics and the corresponding quantum properties of information carriers — photons to overcome the limitations of classical cryptographic protocols and increase the security of cryptographic protocols up to the information-theoretic level. The paper provides a general overview and analysis of modern quantum information security technologies, particularly protocols for quantum key distribution, quantum secure direct communication, and quantum secret sharing. Several other areas of quantum cryptography are briefly considered, such as quantum digital signature, quantum bit commitment, quantum steganography, etc. The advantages and disadvantages of quantum cryptographic protocols, as well as the prospects and challenges of their practical implementation, are analyzed. A brief overview of the laws of quantum physics underlying the security of quantum cryptographic protocols is also provided. Keywords: quantum cryptography, physical foundations of quantum cryptography, qubit, qudit, entangled qubits and qudits, quantum key distribution, quantum secure direct communication, quantum secret sharing.
