Abstract

Using the simple deformed three-level model (D3L model) proposed in our early work, we study the entanglement problem of composite bosons. Consider three first energy levels are known, we can get two energy separations, and can define the level deformation parameter δ . Using connection between q −deformed harmonic oscillator and Morse-like anharmonic potential, the deform parameter q also can be derived explicitly. Like the Einstein's theory of special relativity, we introduce the observer e˙ects: out side observer (looking from outside the studying system) and inside observer (looking inside the studying system). Corresponding to those observers, the outside entanglement entropy and inside entanglement entropy will be defined.. Like the case of Foucault pendulum in the problem of Earth rotation, our deformation energy level investigation might be useful in prediction the environment e˙ect outside a confined box.

Entanglement entropy of composite fermions realized by (deformed) fermions vs. that of composite bosons

Alexandre M. Gavrilik, Yu. A. Mishchenko

In our two preceding papers we studied bipartite composite boson (or quasiboson) systems through their realization in terms of deformed oscillators. Therein, the entanglement characteristics such as the entanglement entropy and purity were found and expressed, for both one-quasiboson and more complex states, through the parameter of deformation. In this work we initiate an analogous study of composite fermions for two major cases: (i) "boson + fermion" composites; (ii) "deformed-boson + fermion" composites. Both the entanglement entropy and purity of composite fermions are dealt with, their dependence on the relevant parameters established, and for some particular two- or three-mode cases depicted graphically. In a few special cases the entanglement entropy turns out to be constant $S_0=\ln 2$ (or $\ln 3$) or $S_0=0$, while in the rest of the cases which we considered it varies between zero and $\ln 2$ (or $\ln 3$).

Energy dependence of the entanglement entropy of composite boson (quasiboson) systems

A M Gavrilik, Yu A Mishchenko

Bipartite composite boson (quasiboson) systems, which admit realization in terms of deformed oscillators, were considered in our previous paper from the viewpoint of entanglement characteristics. These characteristics, including entanglement entropy and purity, were expressed through the relevant deformation parameter for different quasibosonic states. On the other hand, it is of interest to present the entanglement entropy and likewise the purity as function of energy for those states. In this work, the corresponding dependences are found for different states of composite bosons realized by deformed oscillators and, for comparison, also for the hydrogen atom viewed as a composite boson. The obtained results are expressed graphically and their implications discussed.

Modelling of q-deformed harmonic oscilator on quantum computer

M. I. Samar, V. M. Tkachuk

We present a method of a quantum simulation of a quantum harmonic oscillator in a special case of the deformed commutation relation, which corresponds to the so-called q-deformed oscillator on an IBM quantum computer. Using the method of detection of energy levels of a spin system on a quantum computer by probe spin evolution we obtain the energy levels of both the q-deformed quantum harmonic and anharmonic oscillators.

Composite Fermions as Deformed Oscillators: Wavefunctions and Entanglement

A. M. Gavrilik, Yu. A. Mishchenko

Composite structure of particles somewhat modifies their statistics, compared to the pure Bose- or Fermi-ones. The spin-statistics theorem, so, is not valid anymore. Say, п-mesons, excitons, Cooper pairs are not ideal bosons, and, likewise, baryons are not pure fermions. In our preceding papers, we studied bipartite composite boson (i.e. quasiboson) systems via a realization by deformed oscillators. Therein, the interconstituent entanglement characteristics such as entanglement entropy and purity were found in terms of the parameter of deformation. Herein, we perform an analogous study of composite Fermi-type particles, and explore them in two major cases: (i) “boson + fermion” composite fermions (or cofermions, or CFs); (ii) “deformed boson + fermion” CFs. As we show, cofermions in both cases admit only the realization by ordinary fermions. Case (i) is solved explicitly, and admissible wavefunctions are found along with entanglement measures. Case (ii) is treated within few modes both for CFs and constituents. The entanglement entropy and purity of CFs are obtained via the relevant parameters and illustrated graphically.

Nonstandardq-deformed realizations of the harmonic oscillator

Ángel Ballesteros, Osvaldo Civitarese, M. Reboiro

The boson expansion method is applied to find the spectrum of a q-deformed harmonic oscillator. We use two different boson expansions, each of them including a deformation parameter, defined in terms of exponential and logarithmic functionals. The resulting Hamiltonians are bilinear forms of the transformed operators. Physical effects resulting from the deformation of the generators of the algebra are studied by comparing known finite-range potentials and the effective potentials obtained for each of the considered Hamiltonians.

Entanglement entropy of coupled harmonic oscillators: an approach in Fock space

M. Jonker

It has been known for decades that black holes behave as thermodynamic objects and, as such, have an entropy, which was acquired in exact form as the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. However, the origin of this entropy, and in particular its proportionality to the area of the horizon, remained unexplained. Motivated by this mystery, several authors examined the possibility of entanglement entropy as a source of black hole entropy, by considering a scalar ?eld in the ground state and\ntracing out the degrees of freedom inside an imaginary sphere, analogous to the interior of the black hole. The resulting entanglement entropy between the two regions turned out to scale with the area of their mutual boundary. In the simplest model the scalar ?eld is represented by a system of coupled harmonic oscillators. After an introduction to the phenomenon of quantum entanglement and the associated entanglement entropy, we will review the problem of two coupled oscillators in the ground state and derive the entanglement entropy using an approach in Fock space, as opposed to the standard method involving integrals in positon space. This will also\nallow us to look at some excited states of the system. Subsequently we will try to extend this approach to a system of N coupled harmonic oscillators and derive the entanglement entropy between an inner and outer region of oscillators.
