Strong photon-photon interactions mediated by a single quantum dot spin

Shuo Sun, Glenn S. Solomon, Edo Waks A

We show that the presence of a single photon deterministically controls the transmission of another photon. Their strong interactions are mediated by a single quantum dot spin that is strongly coupled to a nanophotonic cavity.

Efficient generation and wavelength conversion of single photons from quantum nanophotonic devices

Kartik A. Srinivasan, Serkan Ateş, Imad H. Agha +3 more

Single photon sources based on a self-assembled quantum dot in nanophotonic waveguides, gratings, and cavities are interfaced with nonlinear media and electro-optic modulators to demonstrate quantum frequency conversion and amplitude modulation of single photon states.

Telecom Spin-Photon Quantum Interface Based on Silicon Nanophotonics

Christina Wicker, Yizhong Huang, Hong Wei Qiao +1 more

We develop a telecom-band nanophotonic spin-photon interface with erbium dopants in silicon. We perform photoluminescence spectroscopy of Er3+ in silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafers and measure Purcell enhancement, optical linewidths and transition dipoles in nanophotonic cavities.
