Abstract

We present an efficient quantum key distribution protocol with a certain entangled state to solve a special cryptographic task. Also, we provide a proof of security of this protocol by generalizing the proof of modified of Lo-Chau scheme. Based on this two-user scheme, a quantum cryptography network protocol is proposed without any quantum memory.

Conditional efficient multiuser quantum cryptography network

Peng Xue, Chuan‐Feng Li, Guang‐Can Guo

We propose a conditional quantum key distribution scheme with three nonorthogonal states. Combined with the idea presented by Lo et al. (H.-K. Lo, H. F. Chau, and M. Ardehali, e-print arXiv: quant-ph/0011056), the efficiency of this scheme is increased to tend to 100%. Also, such a refined data analysis guarantees the security of our scheme against the most general eavesdropping strategy. Then, based on the scheme, we present a quantum cryptography network with the addition of a device called ``space optical switch.'' Moreover, we give out a realization of a quantum random number generator. Thus, a feasible experimental scheme of this efficient quantum cryptography network is completely given.

Secure quantum cryptographic network based on quantum key distribution

Sora Choi, Soojoon Lee, Dong Pyo Chi

We present a protocol for quantum cryptographic network consisting of a quantum network center and many users, in which any pair of parties with members chosen from the whole users on request can secure a quantum key distribution by help of the center. The protocol is based on the quantum authentication scheme given by Barnum et al. [Proc. 43rd IEEE Symp. FOCS'02, p. 449 (2002)]. We show that exploiting the quantum authentication scheme the center can safely make two parties share nearly perfect entangled states used in the quantum key distribution. This implies that the quantum cryptographic network protocol is secure against all kinds of eavesdropping.

Quantum key distribution protocols using entangled state

Jian Wang, Quan Zhang, Chaojing Tang

We present three quantum key distribution protocols using entangled state. The first protocol is based on the idea of qubit transmission in blocks. Although it needs quantum memory, its theoretic efficiency approximates to 100%. The second protocol does not need quantum memory and its efficiency for qubits can achieve 100%. The third protocol is a controlled quantum key distribution protocol which can be applied to a special cryptographic scenario

Quantum Key Distribution Based on Quantum Entanglement

Jincheng Zhang

This paper proposes a novel distributed key generation scheme based on quantum entanglement, aiming to achieve fully secure key distribution without prior key exchange. The core concept leverages quantum entanglement between two or more nodes to generate and transmit keys, combined with a quantum key distribution protocol for verification and error correction. Unlike existing quantum key distribution schemes reliant on quantum communication channels, this approach offers a theoretically more secure and potentially efficient method for key sharing. The system utilizes Bell states, polarization measurements, and post-processing techniques to establish a shared key. We outline the key components of the system, including entanglement generation, measurement protocols, error correction, and key distillation. The theoretical analysis demonstrates the security of the scheme against eavesdropping attacks, assuming the validity of quantum mechanics. This work contributes to the ongoing research in quantum cryptography and provides a foundational design for a future generation of secure communication networks.
