We study the classification of interacting fermionic symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases with both rotation symmetry and Abelian internal symmetries in one, two, and three dimensions. By working out this classification, on the one hand, we demonstrate the recently proposed correspondence principle between crystalline topological phases and those with internal symmetries through explicit block-state constructions. We find that for the precise correspondence to hold it is necessary to change the central extension structure of the symmetry group by the
Z2 fermion parity. On the other hand, we uncover new classes of intrinsically fermionic SPT phases that are only enabled by interactions, both in 2D and 3D. Several 3D Majorana-type fermionic SPT phases are identified. Moreover, several new instances of Lieb-Schultz-Mattis-type theorems for Majorana-type fermionic SPT phases are obtained and we discuss their interpretations from the perspective of bulk-boundary correspondence.
We introduce a model of interacting Majorana fermions that describes a superconducting phase with a topological order characterized by the Fibonacci topological field theory. Our theory, which is based on a SO(7)_{1}/(G_{2})_{1} coset factorization, leads to a solvable one-dimensional model that is extended to two dimensions using a network construction. In addition to providing a description of the Fibonacci phase without parafermions, our theory predicts a closely related "anti-Fibonacci" phase, whose topological order is characterized by the tricritical Ising model. We show that Majorana fermions can split into a pair of Fibonacci anyons, and propose an interferometer that generalizes the Z_{2} Majorana interferometer and directly probes the Fibonacci non-Abelian statistics.
The fuzzy-sphere regularization is a powerful tool to study conformal field theories (CFT) in three spacetime dimensions. In this paper, we extend its scope to CFTs with local fermionic operators. We realize the free-Majorana-fermion CFT on a setup with one flavor of bosons and one flavor of fermions on the lowest Landau level with a 1 / 2 angular momentum mismatch and allow conversion between two bosons and two fermions, and use a relative chemical potential as the tuning parameter. On the phase diagram, we observe two continuous transitions described, respectively, by a free Majorana fermion and a gauged Ising CFT. We numerically confirm the emergent conformal symmetry through the operator spectrum and the two-point correlation function of the local Majorana fermion. We further establish a correspondence between the fuzzy-sphere models and the field-theory Lagrangians, and extend it to an interacting fermionic CFT—the super-Ising theory with emergent superconformal symmetry.
