Stored light based on stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers

Miao Hu

Optical information storage as the key technology of all-optical switching and routing has important significance in future all-optical networks. The experimental methods and results of light storing, which mainly based on stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) in optical fibers, are introduced. This paper summarizes the latest developments of tunable slow-light in optical fibers both at home and abroad.
