Abstract

This paper presents an overview of a quantum programming language NDQJava-2.NDQJava-2 is an extension of NDQJava with additional quantum components such as quantum conditional statement, quantum loop statement, quantum subprogram, quantum module, and quantum exception handling mechanism. The added commponents make NDQJava-2 a structured quantum programming language.Experience in writing quantum programs indicates that compared with NDQJava,NDQJava-2 is a more practical, more readable and more suitable(components setting) quantum programming language.

Quantum Programming Language NDQJava2 Processing System: Assembler and Interpreter

Zhu Zhengwen

NDQJava2 is a hybrid, structured and imperative quantum programming language, which is an extension of NDQJava with some additional quantum components, such as quantum conditional statement, quantum loop statement, quantum subprogram, quantum module and quantum exception handling mechanism. To execute NDQJava2 programs on a classical computer, this paper gives the design of the basic instruction set and assembly instruction set of a conceivable quantum computer, and the implementation of the corresponding assembler and interpreter. Combined with the other parts of the processing system, the Deutsch algorithm is verified. Experiments show that the assembler and interpreter achieve the desired purpose.

Quantum Programming Language NDQJava2 Processing System:Code Converter

Cai Xihu

NDQJava2 language is a hybrid, structured and imperative quantum programming language, which is an extension of NDQJava language with some additional quantum components. The processing system of NDQJava2is a simulative implementation of NDQJava2 on classical computers. This paper describes the code converter of NDQJava2 processing system, and discusses its design and implementation in detail. It adopts top-down and layer-bylayer conversion method, and converts syntax tree into Java code with quantum assembly instructions. Experiments show that the code converter achieves the desired purpose.

Quantum Programming Language NDQJava2 Processing System: Lexical Analyzer and Syntactic Analyzer

Cheng Zhenwe

NDQJava2 is a hybrid, structured and imperative quantum programming language, which is an extension of NDQJava with some additional quantum components, such as quantum conditional statement, quantum loop statement, quantum subprogram, quantum module and quantum exception handling mechanism. After briefly stating the NDQJava2 processing system, this paper focuses on the lexical analyzer and the syntactic analyzer, which uses direct steering method for lexical analysis, identifies the words then generates a sequence of words, uses recursive subroutine method for syntax analysis, generates syntax tree. The example shows that the result of this process is correct, fulfills lexical analysis and syntax analysis tasks.

Processing System of Quantum Programming Language NDQJava

Fangmin Song

This paper describes one of the processing systems for the quantum programming language NDQJava. Its main feature lies that the classical parts of NDQJava programs are processed by the Java processing system, so this effort emphasizes on the processing of program's quantum parts. This processing system follows the compilation-interpretation approach, and it includes lexical analyzer, syntactic analyzer, code transformer, quantum assembler and quantum interpreter.By the end of this paper, some examples are given. The system was implemented by simulation in June 2006 on the classical computer.

Quantum Programming Language LanQ

Hynek Mlnařík

We define a typed imperative quantum programming language LanQ that allows programmers to implement any algorithm that is based on either one, or a combination of classical or quantum computation. The language syntax is similar to that of C language and forces programmers to structure their programs into smaller pieces of code (methods, blocks) what makes the program better readable and maintainable compared to programs in unstructured languages. It allows programmers to assign a quantum system to several variables in such a way that all quantum principles, namely no-cloning and no-deleting, are obeyed. The language also offers process algebraic features such as creation a new process (this is done by forking a new process from a running one) and interprocess communication. It therefore supports implementation of multiparty protocols. The resources sent over a channel are handled so that they are always owned by at most one process at one time. In the thesis, we formally describe the language syntax, its type system, memory model used and operational semantics. We also prove type soundness property for the noncommunicating part of the language and for the full language provided the programs are guaranteed to use only a well-formed communication.. We show an example run of a random number generator implemented in the language and provide a reference manual to the implementation of LanQ simulator which is publicly available at http://lanq.sf.net/.
