Position-dependent mass Schrodinger equation for the q-deformed Woods-Saxson plus hyperbolic tangent potential

Emad K. Jaradat, S. Tarawneh, Amer D. Al-Oqali +3 more

In this work, we propose a new potential called the "q-deformed Woods-Saxon plus hyperbolic tangent potential." We derive the generalized Schrödinger equation for quantum mechanical systems with position-dependent masses under these potentials using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method, with the mass relationship defined as m(x)=m_1⁄((1+qe^(-2λx))). The solutions to this equation, expressed in terms of hypergeometric functions and Jacobi polynomials, offer insights into the quantum behavior of particles. The energy eigenvalues depend on system parameters such as the deformation parameter q, potential parameters, and quantum numbers. We analyzed the effect of the deformation parameter q numerically and visually using different values of these parameters.

A new approach to the exact solutions of the effective mass Schrödinger equation

C. Tezcan, R. Sever

Effective mass Schrödinger equation is solved exactly for a given potential. Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used to obtain energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions. A free parameter is used in the transformation of the wave function. The effective mass Schrödinger equation is also solved for the Morse potential transforming to the constant mass Schrödinger equation for a potential. One can also get solution of the effective mass Schrödinger equation starting from the constant mass Schrödinger equation. Effective Mass Schrodinger Equation for Exactly Solvable Class of One-Dimensional Potentials

Metin Aktaş, R. Sever

We deal with the exact solutions of Schrodinger equation characterized by position-dependent effective mass via point canonical transformations. The Morse, Poschl-Teller and Hulthen type potentials are considered respectively. With the choice of position-dependent mass forms, exactly solvable target potentials are constructed. Their energy of the bound states and corresponding wavefunctions are determined exactly.

Bound State Solutions of Schrödinger Equation for Generalized Morse Potential with Position-Dependent Mass

Altuğ Arda, R. Sever

The effective mass one-dimensional Schrödinger equation for the generalized Morse potential is solved by using Nikiforov—Uvarov method. Energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions are computed analytically. The results are also reduced to the constant mass case. Energy eigenvalues are computed numerically for some diatomic molecules. They are in agreement with the ones obtained before.
