The concept of super-operator in quantum mechanics

Bai Yin-bu

The concept of a linear operator in quantum mechanics was studied.Through the establishment of operator function's differential calculus, the concept of super-operator was introduced, and all kinds of the super-operator were given the definition, typical problems in quantum mechanics were analyzed on the base of the super-operator's use.The results show that the super-operator concept in quantum mechanics has wide applications and make physical meaning more clear.

Retro-information in Wheeler-Feynman Universe Model: Applications Over an Hypothetical Concept in Quantum Mechanics

Philippe Jacquet, Veronique Joly

Twisting the non-locality concept in quantum mechanics we introduce the hypothetical concept of retro-information. We analyse the effect of paradoxal coupling on source of retro-information in order to quantify the new means of computing that could be derived from such an hypothetical concept.

Applications of Quantum Mechanics

Md Nazoor Khan, Simanchala Panigrahi

Covers the basic principles and theories of engineering physics and offers a balance between theoretical concepts and their applications. It is designed as a textbook for an introductory course in engineering physics. Beginning with a comprehensive discussion on oscillations and waves with applications in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering, it goes on to explain the basic concepts such as Huygen's principle, Fresnel's biprism, Fraunhofer diffraction and polarization. Emphasis has been given to an understanding of the basic concepts and their applications to a number of engineering problems. Each topic has been discussed in detail, both conceptually and mathematically. Pedagogical features including solved problems, unsolved exercised and multiple choice questions are interspersed throughout the book. This will help undergraduate students of engineering acquire skills for solving difficult problems in quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, nanoscience, energy systems and other engineering disciplines.
