Weighted information and weighted entropic inequalities for qutrit and ququart states

Vladimir I. Man’ko, Zhanat Batyrbekuly Seilov

The notion of weighted quantum entropy is reviewed and considered for bipartite and noncomposite quantum systems. The known for the weighted entropy information inequality (subadditivity condition) is extended to the case of indivisible qudit system on example of qutrit. This new inequality for qutrit density matrix is discussed for different cases of weights and states. The role of weighted entropy is discussed in connection with studies of nonlinear quantum channels.

Information-theoretic Bell inequalities based on Tsallis entropy

Marek Wajs, Paweł Kurzyński, Dagomir Kaszlikowski

We numerically investigate entropic Bell inequalities for a pair of entangled qutrits using information-theoretic distances. We show that for this class of inequalities the Tsallis entropy is more suitable than the Shannon entropy, as it reveals nonclassicality for a larger set of quantum states. Finally, we find that, like probability-based inequalities, entropic ones are maximally violated by the non--maximally entangled qutrit state.

Experimentally Demonstrate the Spin-1 Information Entropic Inequality Based on Simulated Photonic Qutrit States

Lianzhen Cao, Xia Liu, Yang Yang +3 more

Quantum correlations of higher-dimensional systems are an important content of quantum information theory and quantum information application. The quantification of quantum correlation of high-dimensional quantum systems is crucial, but difficult. In this paper, using the second-order nonlinear optical effect and multiphoton interference enhancement effect, we experimentally implement the photonic qutrit states and demonstrate the spin-1 information entropic inequality for the first time to quantitative quantum correlation. Our work shows that information entropy is an important way to quantify quantum correlation and quantum information processing.
