Abstract

Quantum discord teleportation of a bipartite state via a quantum correlated channel is considered. Quantum discord of output state is calculated, for a pure input state and a two-qubit Werner state as a channel. The results reveal that, more quantum correlated channel preserves more quantum discord.

Quantum Discord and Entanglement in Quasi-Werner States Based on Bipartite Superposed Coherent States

Ajay K Maurya, Mishra, Manoj K, Hari Prakash

Recently, the authors [arXiv quant-ph 1209.3706] studied quantum discord for Werner mixed states based on the four entangled coherent states, which are used for quantum teleportation of single qubit information encoded in superposed coherent state and compared it with entanglement of formation. In the present paper, we consider two more general bipartite superposed coherent states and get two quasi-Werner states. We study quantum discord and entanglement of formation for these states and compare them.

Quantum Discord and Entanglement of Quasi-Werner States based on Entangled Coherent States

Mishra, Manoj K., Ajay K Maurya, Hari Prakash

Present work is an attempt to compare quantum discord and quantum entanglement of Werner states formed with the four bipartite entangled coherent states (ECS) used recently for quantum teleportation of a qubit encoded in superposed coherent state. Out of these, two based on maximally ECS are exactly similar to the perfect Werner state, while the rest two, based on non-maximally ECS, which are called quasi-Werner states behave in somewhat different ways and their quantum discord and entanglement depends on the coherent amplitude and the measurement basis.

Operational meaning of discord in terms of teleportation fidelity

Satyabrata Adhikari, Subhashish Banerjee

Quantum discord is a prominent measure of quantum correlations, playing an important role in expanding its horizon beyond entanglement. Here we provide an operational meaning of (geometric) discord, which quantifies the amount of nonclassical correlations of an arbitrary quantum system based on its minimal distance from the set of classical states, in terms of teleportation fidelity for general two-qubit and ($d\ensuremath{\bigotimes}d$)-dimensional isotropic and Werner states. A critical value of the discord is found beyond which the two-qubit state must violate Bell's inequality. This is illustrated by an open-system model of a dissipative two-qubit state. For the ($d\ensuremath{\bigotimes}d$)-dimensional states the lower bound of discord is shown to be obtainable from an experimentally measurable witness operator.

The pairwise quantum correlations for teleported state via a symmetric multi-qubit system

Sodeif Ahadpour, And F. Mirmasoudi

We study the pairwise quantum correlations for teleported state via a symmetric multi-qubitsystem. In the other words, the proposed model is considered as a quantum channel. Using thequantum discord, super quantum discord and concurrence to quantify quantum correlations forteleported state, some analytical and numerical results are presented. Moreover, we compare thedynamical evolutions of quantum correlations and fidelity versus measurement strength and thenumber of qubit channel for teleported state via symmetric multi-qubit model. Our main goalnow is to study how we can increase the quantum correlations and the fidelity of the teleportedstate in the presence of decoherence. The results show that, measurement strength and thenumber of qubit can control the quantum information obtained through the quantum channel. Therefore, measurement strength can be a good option for measuring exchanged information inthe teleportation process. In addition to, quantum correlations can provide an effective role inquantum teleportation

Quantum Correlations and Discord in Werner States for Quantum Teleportation

Saida M. Alkurkushi, Malek Nasser Ali Algabri, Ali Saif M. Hassan

Abstract Quantum teleportation fundamentally depends on shared quantum correlations between spatially separated parties. Although entanglement is widely recognized as the primary resource enabling teleportation, quantum discord represents a more general form of nonclassical correlations that can persist even when entanglement is absent. We provide a thorough analysis combining analytical and numerical evaluations of quantum discord, negativity, and concurrence across varying noise parameters. The study includes simulations under both ide-alized and realistic noisy conditions, incorporating depolarizing noise models alongside experimentally relevant constraints. To improve quantum fidelity and accurately characterize quantum correlations in noisy environments, advanced error mitigation techniques—such as measurement error correction and zero-noise extrapolation—are applied. In this study, we focus on teleportation protocols utilizing two-qubit Werner states, which constitute a significant class of noisy mixed states modeling imperfect entanglement. We systematically examine how the teleportation fidelity varies as a function of the Werner mixing parameter λ and investigate its relationship with the corresponding quantum discord. Our findings indicate that quantum discord remains strictly greater than zero even in parameter regions where entanglement vanishes, emphasizing the role of discord in sustaining quantum advantages in teleportation schemes exposed to noise and imperfections. This highlights the importance of considering non-entanglement quantum correlations for a comprehensive understanding of teleportation resources in realistic settings.

Swapping of correlations via teleportation with decoherence

Jerzy Dajka, J. Łuczka

Quantum channel teleporting one party of a bipartite entangled state is considered. It is assumed that resource is coupled to thermal decohering (dissipative and/or pure dephasing) environment. We investigate both the fidelity of the channel and its ability to swap the initial correlation to the final state of the system in which subsystems did not interact directly. We qualify the correlations by negativity and quantum discord. We show that the correlation loss defined as a difference between values of the correlation measure for the teleported state and the resource vanishes for certain choice of parameters at certain time instants. Moreover, the perfect transmission of entanglement takes place in the case when the resource qubits have the same energy splitting.
