Schrödinger’s Controversial Cat
Bruce Rosenblum, Fred Kuttner
Abstract By 1935, the basic form of quantum mechanics was clear. Schrödinger’s equation was the new universal equation of motion. Although it was required only for objects on the atomic scale, quantum theory presumably governed the behavior of everything. The earlier physics, by then called “classical,” was the much easier- to-use approximation adequate for macroscopic behavior.
