Abstract

In this paper, we study the scattering properties of s-wave Schrödinger equation for the multi-parameter potential, which can be reduced into four special cases for different values of potential parameters, i.e., Hulthén, Manning–Rosen, and Eckart potentials. We also obtain and investigate the scattering amplitudes of these special cases. Some numerical results are also obtained and reported.

Solutions of theq-deformed Schrödinger equation for special potentials

Alina Dobrogowska, Anatol Odzijewicz

Solutions of the q -deformed Schrödinger equation are presented for the following potentials: shifted oscillator, isotropic oscillator, Rosen–Morse II, Eckart II, and Poschl–Teller I and II potentials. Various properties of solutions to such equations are discussed including the limit case q → 1 that corresponds to the non-deformed Schrödinger equation.

Application of the generalized scattering amplitude in quantum potential scatterings

R. T. Ling

The concept of a generalized scattering amplitude is introduced and applied to quantum potential scatterings. After an outgoing spherical wave is factored out from a wave function, the remaining wave envelope is defined as the generalized scattering amplitude. The transformed Schr\"odinger equation, in terms of the generalized scattering amplitude, can be solved numerically by using a finite-difference method over the entire scattering domain. Example problems of scatterings by a spherical potential well and the (${\mathit{e}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$,H) static field interaction potential are solved to validate the theoretical formulation and numerical method. The far-field solutions for the ordinary scattering amplitude and differential cross section agree very well with those obtained from the partial-wave analysis. The radial profiles of the generalized scattering amplitude and particle density function over the entire scattering region are also presented, and their properties are discussed. These results demonstrate that the method can be used to yield a complete and accurate solution to scattering problems involving arbitrary interaction potentials.

The Scattering and Bound States of the Schrödinger Particle in Generalized Asymmetric Manning-Rosen Type Potential

Ahmet Taş, Soner Alpdoğan, Ali Havare

We solve exactly one-dimensional Schrödinger equation for the generalized asymmetric Manning-Rosen (GAMAR) type potential containing the different types of physical potential that have many application fields in the nonrelativistic quantum mechanics and obtain the solutions in terms of the Gauss hypergeometric functions. Then we determine the solutions for scattering and bound states. By using these states we calculate the reflection and transmission coefficients for scattering states and achieve a correlation that gives the energy eigenvalues for the bound states. In addition to these, we show how the transmission and reflection coefficients depend on the parameters which describe shape of the GAMAR type potential and compare our results with the results obtained in earlier studies.

Scattering and bound state solutions of the asymmetric Hulthén potential

Altuğ Arda, Oktay Aydogdu A, R. Sever

The one-dimensional time-independent Schrödinger equation is solved for the asymmetric Hulthén potential. The reflection and transmission coefficients and bound state solutions are obtained in terms of the hypergeometric functions. It is observed that the unitary condition is satisfied in the non-relativistic region.

Schrödinger Equation with Hulthén Potential Plus Ring-Shaped Potential

D. Agboola

We present the solutions of the Schrödinger equation with the Hulthén potential plus ring-shape potential for ℓ ≠ 0 states within the framework of an exponential approximation of the centrifugal potential. Solutions to the corresponding angular and radial equations are obtained in terms of special functions using the conventional Nikiforov—Uvarov method. The normalization constant for the Hulthén potential is also computed.

THE ANALYTICAL SOLUTIONS OF THE SCHRODINGER EQUATION WITH GENERALIZED HULTHEN PLUS A NEW RING SHAPED LIKE POTENTIAL

A. N. Ikot, Eser Olğar, HASSAN HASSANABADI

In this paper, we study the Schrödinger equation with the generalized Hulthen potential plus a new ring shaped potential. We obtained approximately the bound state energy spectra and the corresponding wave function using the functional analysis method. We use the well-known Hellmann-Feynmann theorem to calculate the expectation values for ,, and .We also discussed the special case of the potential which is consistent with the results found in the literature.
