Influence of the radial number of Laguerre-Gaussian vortex beams on their propagation in a turbulent medium

D. D. Reshetnikov, A. S. Losev

The paper considers the propagation of Laguerre-Gaussian beams in a turbulent gas medium. As demonstrated by numerical modelling and the decomposition of Laguerre-Gaussian modes according to the basis of orthogonal Zernike polynomials, disparities in the stability of Laguerre-Gaussian modes with differing radial and azimuthal numbers are evident. The demonstration is made of the minimization of the distortion of the transverse beam profile with an increase in the radial number.

Highly efficient generation of squeezed states of light based on Laguerre-Gaussian modes in a cavity

E. N. Bashmakova, E. A. Vashukevich, Golubeva T. Yu. +1 more

Today, the efficient generation of squeezed states of light seems to be a significant practical problem for various quantum-optical and information applications. In this paper, we investigate the possibility of increasing the efficiency of the generation of states based on the Laguerre-Gaussian light modes in the parametric down conversion due to the optimal choice of the cavity configuration. Analyzing the Heisenberg-Langevin equations for the eigenmodes of the system, we estimate the influence of the geometric parameters of the pump beam and the idler and signal beams on the efficiency of generation of squeezed states and on the degree of squeezing. The calculation for a finite number of modes has shown that the highest theoretically possible degree of squeezing in the system is 15.85 dB. Keywords: squeezed light, Laguerre-Gaussian modes, orbital angular momentum, optimization of PDC geometric parameters.

Classical intensity and amplitude effect on generalized nonlinear equal-power N th power Y-squeezing

Lei Xiao-li

Constructs the three-state superposition multimode superposition state light field that is composed of multimode coherent state, multimode complex conjugated coherent state and its opoosite state, which are superposed linearly. This paper takes Gaussian laser beam,Hermitian-Gaussian laser beam,Laguerre-Gaussian laser beam, ground mode elliptical-Gaussian laser beam and Hermitian-ellptical Gaussian laser beam as examples seperately, through large data computation and computer graphing, and with the multimode squeezed state theory, studys in detail how the spatial round Gaussian distribution and ellipse distribution of classical intensity, classical amplitude and classical phase affect the generalized nonlinear equal-power N-th power Y-squeezing of the three-state superposition multimode superposition light field.
