Abstract

The method of rotating-wave approximation is used to analyze the evolvement process of systematic state vector of the Λ-type three-level atom interacting with initially uncorrelated two-mode coherent states of arbitrary detuning in a cavity filled with Kerr-like medium. Two kinds of squeezed coherent states and their applications are narrated.Calculation formulae of photon amount squeeze and phase squeeze are offered.Evolvement process of squeezed photon is protracted and squeeze property affected by Kerr medium is discussed. It is shown by numerical calculation that strong Kerr medium induces periodic fluctuation of evolvement process of squeezed photon, and the character of photon amount squeeze is poor if resonance has severe detuning.

Influence of Detuning and Kerr-like Medium on the Interaction of a three-level Atom with Squeezed two-mode Cavity Field

R. A. Zait, N. H. Abd El-Wahab

We study the interaction of a three-level atom with two-mode cavity field containing a Kerr-like medium in this cavity. The atom is initially prepared in a momentum eigenstate and the field is in the squeezed state. The constants of motion and the wave function for the atomic system of Λ-configuration at any time t > 0 are obtained. Also, the momentum increment, the momentum diffusion and the field entropy are calculated. The analytic results are employed to perform some investigations of the temporal evolution of the momentum increment and the field entropy. The influence of the number operators, the detunings and/or the Kerr-like medium is analysed. It is shown that the addition of the Kerr medium and/or the detunings in the presence or absence of the number operators has an important effect on the properties of the momentum increment and of the field entropy. Finally, conclusions and some features and comments are given.

A Moving Three Level Lambda Rubidium Atom Interacting with a Single Mode Cavity Field in the Presence of Kerr Medium

Ahmed Salah, N. H. Abd El-Wahab

We study the interaction between a moving three-level lambda rubidium atom and a single mode cavity field in the presence of Kerr-like medium. We derive the basic equations of motion for atomic system and show that it is exactly solvable in the rotating wave approximation (RWA). The momentum increment, the momentum diffusion and the Mandel Q parameter of this system are studied. We investigate numerically the influence of Kerr-Like medium on the evolution of the previous statistical properties in the exact resonate and nonresonate case where the atom is initially prepared in a momentum eigenstate and the field in the squeezed state. It is found that the Kerr medium has an important effect on their evolution. Finally, conclusion and discussion are given.

Atomic dipole squeezing in the system of the two-mode entangled coherent states interacting with a V-type three-level atom in Kerr medium

Cao Zhuo

Atomic dipole squeezing effects in the system of the two-mode entangled coherent states interacting with a V-type three-level atom in Kerr medium has been discussed. The results indicate that the atomic dipole squeezing effects depend on the degree of entanglement of the two-mode entangled coherent states, the coupling strength of the Kerr medium with the field, the detuning and the atomic initial state.

Dipole Squeezing Effects of a A-type Three-level Atom Interacting with a Two-mode Coherent Field in a Kerr-like Medium

Lihui Zhang

The dipole squeezing effects of a A-type three-level atom interacting with a two-mode coherent field are investigated. Through the numerical calculations, the influences of the Kerr effect and the one-photon frequency detuning on the atomic dipole squeezing are also discussed. It is shown that the atomic dipole squeezing reduces up to disappearence and that the time of the squeezing becomes short with increasing the Kerr effect, but that the atomic dipole squeezing raises and that the time of the squeezing becomes long with increasing the one-photon frequency detuning .

Nonresonant interaction between a three-level atom with a momentum eigenstate and a one-mode cavity field in a Kerr-like medium

R. A. Zait, N. H. Abd El-Wahab

We study the interaction of a three-level atom with a one-mode cavity field in the presence of a Kerr-like medium. The atom is initially prepared in a momentum eigenstate and the field in the squeezed state. We obtain the constants of motion and the wavefunction for the atomic system of Λ-configuration. Also, we calculate the momentum increment, the momentum diffusion and the field entropy. The analytic results are employed to perform some investigations of the temporal evolution of the momentum increment and the field entropy. The effect of the detuning and the Kerr-like medium is analysed. The results show that the effect of the detuning and/or the Kerr-like medium changes the quasi-period of both the momentum increment and the field entropy evolution and entanglement between the atom and the field. Conclusions and discussion are given and illustrated by numerical results.

The Photon Statistical Properties in the System of the Λ-Type Three-Level Atom Interacting with a Squeezed Coherent Light Field in a Kerr Medium

Liu Su-mei

In this paper, the photon statistical properties vs. time in the system of Λ-type atom interacting with squeezed coherent light field inside a high Q with a Kerr medium is investigated by means of the interacting picture.Meanwhile, the influence of Kerr medium μ, the squeezed light field factors γ the coherent vibration amplitude |α| 2 and the coupling parameters λ of the field-atom on the photon statistical properties are also discussed. It has been shown that the intensity coefficient μ of Kerr medium, the squeezed light field factor γ,the coherent vibration amplitude |α| 2 of the light field and the coupling parameter λ of the field-atom influence the quantum collapse-revival periodicity of the evolution curves of Mandel factor Q(t).Meanwhile, they all influence the states and properties of the photon statistical distribution of radiation field.
