Dynamics of Many-Body Correlation Green's Functions——III. Truncation with Respect to Crder

Abstract

All of the main non-perturbative results in the standard Green's function theory are obtained naturally and explicitly from the set of dynamic equations of the many-body correlation Green's functions by means of truncation up to lower correlations. The two-body correlation Green's function dynamics includes both ladder diagrams for short-range correlations and ring diagrams for long-range correlations in a unified way.

Relativistic Generalization of Many-Body Correlation Dynamics

Zuo Wei, Hua Guo, Shun-Jin Wang

With the aid of generating-functional technique, the many-body correlation dynamics was generalized to the relativistic cases within a Green's function formalism and two sets of equations of motion for the correlation (or connected) Green's functions were derived respectively for the scalar -model and the Yukawa model, which were nonperturbative in nature and could provide physically transparent truncations with respect to the order of correlations.

A non—perturbation approach in temperature Green function theory

ZuoWei, WangShun-Jin

A set of differo-integral equations for many-body connected temperature Green's functions is established which is non-perturbative in nature and provides a reasonable truncation scheme with respect to the order of many-body correlations. The method can be applied to nuclear systems at finite temperature.

Electronic Dynamics of the Anderson Model. The Many-Body Approach

A. L. Kuzemsky

A review of electronic dynamics of single-impurity and many-impurity Anderson models is contained in this report. Those models are used widely for many of the applications in diverse fields of interest, such as surface physics, theory of chemisorption and adsorbate reactions on metal surfaces, physics of intermediate valence systems, theory of heavy fermions, physics of quantum dots and other nanostructures. While standard treatments are generally based on perturbation methods, our approach is based on the non-perturbative technique for the thermodynamic Green functions. The method of the irreducible Green functions is used as the basic tool. This irreducible Green functions method allows one to describe the quasiparticle spectra with damping of the strongly correlated electron systems in a very general and natural way and to construct the relevant dynamical solution in a self-consistent way on the level of Dyson equation without decoupling the chain of the equations of motion for the Green functions. The subject matter includes the improved interpolating solution of the Anderson model. It was shown that an interpolating approximation, which simultaneously reproduces the weak-coupling limit up to second order in the interaction strength U and the strong-coupling limit up to second order in the hybridization V (and thus also fulfils the atomic limit) can be formulated self-consistently. This approach offers a new way for the systematic construction of approximate interpolation dynamical solutions of strongly correlated electron systems.

Coupled-cluster many-body theory in a correlated basis

E. Krotscheck, Hermann G. Kümmel, John G. Zabolitzky

The correlated-basis-functions method of Feenberg and the coupled-cluster formalism of Coester and K\"ummel are joined to form a new ground-state many-body method combining the advantages of both older methods and avoiding their disadvantages. From the point of view of the correlated-basis-functions method, coupled-cluster theory is used to sum the perturbation series partially to arbitrary order. From the point of view of the coupled-cluster method, correlated basis functions are used to take out the repulsive core of the two-body interaction in order to allow more efficient truncation schemes. It is found that powerful renormalizations are possible. Explicit equations are given for the two-body subsystems embodying generalized Bethe-Goldstone and random-phase equations summing, in the correlated basis, ladder and ring diagrams to arbitrary order.

Dynamics of Many-Body Correlation Green's Functions II. Equal Time Limit

Ang S

Under equal time limit, it is shown that the dynamic equations of the n-body correlation Green's functions G_c~(n) leads to the set of equations for time evolution of the n-body correlations c_n and the many-body correlation Green's functions and their equations of motion are independent of the time order.
