A Quick Guide to Quantum Communication

Rohit Kumar Singh, Roshan M. Bodile

This article provides a quick overview of quantum communication, bringing together several innovative aspects of quantum enabled transmission. We first take a neutral look at the role of quantum communication, presenting its importance for the forthcoming wireless. Then, we summarise the principles and basic mechanisms involved in quantum communication, including quantum entanglement, quantum superposition, and quantum teleportation. Further, we highlight its groundbreaking features, opportunities, challenges and future prospects.

A Tutorial On Quantum Computation And Communication

M.A.R. Ghonaimy

The aim of this tutorial is to introduce the field of quantum computation and communication. Evolution of quantum computation starting from the Quantum Turing Machine model will be briefly given. Then the circuit model using quantum gates is presented together with representative quantum algorithms that are executed more efficiently on a quantum computer. The recent quantum cluster-state model is then presented. Implementation considerations are also briefly outlined. Quantum communication concepts with particular emphasis on quantum key distribution for secure communication are presented. Achievements so far in the quantum network project supported by DARPA is briefly outlined. Finally, some basic ideas regarding quantum Internet will be given.

Introduction and Discussion on Quantum Communication and Quantum Network

Shengyi Dai, Yuhao Fu, Mujin Guo

Being one of the major points of research focus since the end of the twentieth century, quantum computation technologies have experienced significant improvements and is under the progress of forming an inter-connected commercial quantum network in recent years. Communication through quantum mechanisms proved to be considerably more efficient and secure than classical communication protocols. Basic quantum communication networks have the primary composition of quantum processing nodes and channels where the interaction between the nodes is satisfied by the entanglement phenomenon. Quantum networking technology is under rapid development currently and is anticipated to receive milestone achievements shortly.
