Abstract

Based on adiabatic passage, transfers of an unknown state of one atom, entangled state of two-atom and GHZ state are realized, where only one vacuum-cavity is needed. In these schemes, since the quantum information is encoded in atomic ground states, the system evolves in the dark state space, and there is no population in the atomic excited state, atomic spontaneous emission is suppressed effectively.Compared with previous proposals, the schemes need less resource and easier operation. In addition, the feasibility for experiment is discussed.

Schemes are presented for preparation for W state and high-dimensional entangled states of two atoms via adiabatic passage. In these schemes, since the quantum information is encoded in atomic ground states and the system always evolves in the dark state space so that there is no population in the atomic excited state, the atomic spontaneous emission is suppressed effectively. In addition, adiabatic passage insures that these schemes are robust to the fluctuation of the experimental parameter.Compared with previous proposals, our project saves effectively resources and can be experimentally realized more easily due to simpler operation.

Quantum information transfer via adiabatic passage

We propose a relatively robust scheme to implement quantum information transfer via adiabatic passage. When a Λ-type atom interacts with laser and cavity fields adiabatically, the state of the system evolves in a dark state.By the adiabatic passage,we can implement quantum information transfer of all the atomic states.Similarly, the scheme can be used to transfer a cavity mode state. The proposal is robust to restrain the atomic spontaneous emission noise, and transfers quantum information successfully.

Entangled W State Generation via Adiabatic Passage in Cavity QED

Ma Song-She

A scheme is proposed to generate W state of N atoms trapped in a cavity, based on adiabatic passage along dark state. Taking advantage of adiabatic passage, the atoms have no probability of being excited and thus the atomic spontaneous emission is suppressed. The scheme is simple. It does not need to adjust the interaction time accurately, and does not need to prepare the cavity field in one-photon state. Numerical simulation shows that the successful probability of the scheme increases with the increasing of the atom number.

Quantum state transfer between distant nodes of a quantum network via adiabatic passage

Yan‐Li Zhou, Yimin Wang, Long-Long Liang +1 more

A scheme is presented to realize transfer of a three-dimensional quantum state between two atoms trapped in distant cavities connected by an optical fiber, whose mode is resonant with the polarization cavity modes. Performing an adiabatic passage along dark states, the fiber mode remains in the vacuum state and the population of the cavities being excited can be negligible under certain conditions. In addition, atomic transitions in our scheme are largely detuned from cavity modes. As a consequence, the atomic spontaneous emission and the fiber decay can be effectively eliminated. Furthermore, we give some discussions about the fidelity of our scheme.

Adiabatic Generation of N-quNit Singlet States with Cavity QED

Rong‐Can Yang, Lixiang Ye, Lin Xiu +1 more

We present a theoretical scheme to generate N-quNit singlet states with N 3 via adiabatic passage. In this protocol, the system may be robust against both experimental parameter fluctuations and dissipations along dark states. In addition, during the whole procedure, quantum information is almost fully transferred between atomic ground states. It reduces the influence of dissipations such as atomic spontaneous emissions and cavity decays. Thus, the presented proposal may be feasible based on current technologies.

Quantum state transfer via adiabatic passage

Chen Mei-Ying, Xiu‐Min Lin, Zhihua Chen

Based on adiabatic passage, we propose a scheme for implementing the quantum transfer of an unknown atomic state. In our scheme, we utilize photons for ideal quantum transmission between two cavities with the successful probability being about 1. Meanwhile, the scheme is robust against the effects of atomic spontaneous emission. It may be useful for transferring quantum information among spatially distant atoms.
