Abstract

Using the numerical method in this paper, the atomic dipole squeezing effects in the system of a two-level atom interacting with a light field with a time-varying frequency are studied. The frequency of the field varying with time in the forms of u sin wt has been considered. It is showed that the atomic dipole squeezing effects is influenced by the frequency parameters w and u of the field varying with time. With the increasing of the value of u,the atomic squeezing effects is decreasing.

Atomic Squeezing of the Time-varying-frequency Light-field Interacting with Two-level Atom

WU Wei-fen

In the rotating-wave approximation, the atomic operator squeezing effect in the system that consists of a two-level atom interacting with time-varying-frequency field is studied. Considering the field frequency varying with the time in the form of sine-function at the same time,by means of the quantum theory and numerical calculation, the curve varying with time is derived. The results show that atomic squeezing is affected by time-varying-frequency light-field.

Squeezing Effects of Field with a Time-Varying Frequency in the Multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings Model

Lu Dao

Using the multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model, the squeezing effect of the field in the system of a two-level atom interacting with the single mode coherent field through mutiphoton transition was studied. The frequency of the field varying with time in the form of sine was considered. The influences of amplitude and angular frequency of the field-frequency variation on squeezing effects of the field were discussed by numerical calculations. The influences of mean photon number of the field on squeezing effects of the field were also discussed.Calculation results indicate that the squeezing effects of field strengthens with the increase of the amplitude u of field-frequency variation and weaken with the increase of mean photon number of the field. The time-evolution behavior of quadrature squeezing function Q1 is modulated by the field-frequency variation. The modulation intensity is enchanced with the increase of the amplitude u of field-frequency variation, and when the amplitude u of field-frequency variation is larger than a fixed value, the time-evolution of quadrature squeezing function Q1 will display quasi-periodicity oscillation behavior. Its oscillation frequency agrees with the angular frequency of field-frequency variation.

The interactions of a two-level atom with a coherent field of time-varying frequency: the two-photon transition

Li Zheng-Hong, Yu Ming-Zhang, Yang Ya-Ping +1 more

The two-photon transition for a two-level atom interacting with a single-mold electromagnetic field has been investigated. The initial coherent states with time-varying frequency are considered. The effects of the frequency modulation in sinusoidal form on the atomic population inversion and the squeezing properties of the atom and field are studied. The frequency change can lead the collapse-revival period of population inversion to increase, the maximum value of the revival to decrease, and the squeezing effects of the field and atom are weakened.

Dipole Squeezing Effects of a A-type Three-level Atom Interacting with a Two-mode Coherent Field in a Kerr-like Medium

Lihui Zhang

The dipole squeezing effects of a A-type three-level atom interacting with a two-mode coherent field are investigated. Through the numerical calculations, the influences of the Kerr effect and the one-photon frequency detuning on the atomic dipole squeezing are also discussed. It is shown that the atomic dipole squeezing reduces up to disappearence and that the time of the squeezing becomes short with increasing the Kerr effect, but that the atomic dipole squeezing raises and that the time of the squeezing becomes long with increasing the one-photon frequency detuning .

Nonclassical properties of a time-varying Jaynes–Cummings model

Shuangyuan Xie, Yaping Yang, Hong Chen

The interactions between a two-level atom and a field with a time-varying frequency have been investigated. The two typical cases, the frequency of the field varying with time in the forms of sine and rectangle, have been considered. The dynamic behaviour of the field squeezing, photon antibunching and atomic dipole squeezing are investigated numerically as a function of time. A number of novel phenomena are discovered and discussed.

Atomic dipole squeezing in the system of a two-level atom interaction with k-mode radiation field

Lu Dao

By means of the time-evolution operator method, the evolution of state vector in the system of a two-level atom interacting with k-mode radiation field is given.Using numerical calculation, atomic dipole squeezing in interaction of two-level atom with three-mode coherent state light field is studied. The influences the initial phase angle and intensity of initial coherent field on the atomic dipole squeezing are discussed. The results indicate that the atomic dipole squeezing has intermittence squeezing.
