Abstract

In this paper, through studying the interaction between a single mode emission field and a two-level atom in J-C Model with Kerr Medium, the entanglement amount of entanglement state is obtained. We find that Kerr medium exhibits strong influence on the amount of entanglement in this kind of J-C Model. When Kerr effect is at special value the quantum state will stay in the most entangled state for a long time. This will do some help to the preparation of entangled states.

Properties of Quantum Entanglement in the Two-Photon Jaynes-Cummings Model in the Presence of the Classical Homogenous Gravitational Field with an Added Kerr-Like Medium

N. H. Abd El-Wahab, Ahmed Salah

We study the interaction between a one-mode electromagnetic field and a two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model in the presence of the classical homogenous gravitational field with an added Kerr-like medium when the atom is prepared initially in the momentum eigenstate. The wave function is calculated by using the Schrodinger equation for a coherent electromagnetic field and an atom in the excited state. The influence of the Kerr-like medium and the classical homogenous gravitational field on the properties of the entropy of the field is examined. Keywords: two-level atom; Kerr-like medium; gravitational field; entropy .

Entropy evolution properties in a system of two entangled atoms interacting with light field

In this paper, we use the field entropy as a measurement of the degree of entanglement between the light field and the atoms of the system which is composed of two dipole–dipole interacting two-level atoms initially in an entangled state interacting with the single mode coherent field in a Kerr medium. The influence of the coupling constant of dipole–dipole interaction between atoms and the coupling strength of the Kerr medium with the light field and the intensity of the light field on the field entropy are discussed by numerical calculations. It is shown that when the coupling strength of the Kerr medium with the light field is large enough and the light field is strong, the degree of entanglement between the atoms with the light field becomes weaker. The degree of entanglement only changes slightly with the change of the coupling constant of dipole–dipole interaction between atoms.

SPONTANEOUS EMISSION OF ATOM AND QUANTUM ENTANGLED STATE IN J-C MODEL

Zuo Zhan

Through studying the interaction between a two_level atom and a single mode emission field in rotating_wave approximations of Jaynes_Cummings Model, the atom and the field are in a coupled superposition state_entangled state is obtained. The expectation value of atom dipole moment is always zero, but the fluctuation of dipole moment is a constant, but not zero. Therefore it is concluded that the spontaneous emission of atoms is caused by the fluctuation of dipole moment, not by the dipole moment oscillation of the atomic system. The property of the entanglement is also studied and it is obtained that information entropy and the amount of entanglement are oscillating with time_evolution periodically and are related with the coupling coefficient and detuning. The quantum state changes between disentangled state and entangled state. The quantum state will be entangled state for a long time when the detuning is small.

Entanglement analysis of a two-atom nonlinear Jaynes–Cummings model with nondegenerate two-photon transition, Kerr nonlinearity, and two-mode Stark shift

Hamid Reza Baghshahi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly, Mohammad Javad Faghihi

An entangled state, as an essential tool in quantum information processing, may be generated through the interaction between light and matter in cavity quantum electrodynamics. In this paper, we study the interaction between two two-level atoms and a two-mode field in an optical cavity enclosed by a medium with Kerr nonlinearity in the presence of a detuning parameter and Stark effect. It is assumed that the atom–field coupling and third-order susceptibility of the Kerr medium depend on the intensity of the light. In order to investigate the dynamics of the introduced system, we obtain the exact analytical form of the state vector of the considered atom–field system under initial conditions which may be prepared for the atoms (in a coherent superposition of their ground and upper states) and the fields (in a standard coherent state). Then, in order to evaluate the degree of entanglement between the subsystems, we investigate the dynamics of the entanglement by employing the entanglement of formation. Finally, we analyze in detail the influences of the Stark shift, the deformed Kerr medium, the intensity-dependent coupling, and also the detuning parameter on the behavior of this measure for different subsystems. The numerical results show that the amount of entanglement between the different subsystems can be controlled by choosing the evolved parameters appropriately.

Influence of Kerr Medium and the Interaction between Atoms on the Atomic Dipole Squeezing in the Two-Photon T-C Model

Huang Chun-Jia

The time evolution of the atomic dipole squeezing in the system of two coupling atoms interacting with single-mode field in two-photon transition in Kerr medium are studied by means of quantum theory. The influences of the Kerr medium and single-mode field coupling constant and the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms are discussed.
