Abstract

The key establishment protocol called LLH can not resist impersonation attack.Aiming at this problem,an improved protocol based on signcryption is proposed. It uses elliptic curve cryptosystem technology under the computational Diffie-Hellman assumption, combines authentication and session key and implements the functions of mutual authentication and key confirmation,so that the security is enhanced.Theoretical analysis results show that the proposed protocol has strong security features and can be resistant to impersonation attack.

An Improved Certificate-less Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol

Jie Ling, Zi-jian YU

Through the analysis of the certificate-less authenticated key agreement protocol with security issue of key-compromise impersonation and invalid authentication, this paper proposes an efficient protocol based on Discrete Logarithm Problem and Computational Diffie-Hellman Problem assumptions to solve the security issue and reduce the overhead. During the conversation, the two entities each have three secret values, namely, the partial private key from Key Generate Center (KGC), the long-term private key from the entity itself, and the temporary private key for each conversation generated by the entity itself. Through the theoretical analysis, this scheme provides mutual authentication, forward security and key compromise impersonation, preventing MITM attack and keeping the session key secure as long as the communication parties with a secret value is not disclosed.

An authenticated key agreement protocol for cross-domain based on heterogeneous signcryption scheme

Caifen Wang, Chao Liu, Shufen Niu +2 more

In this paper, we present a new efficient authenticated key agreement protocol. Compared with other cross-domain protocols which are all in the same cryptosystem, our protocol is innovatively designed to shift between the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and the Identity-based Cryptosystem (IBC). This protocol combined with heterogeneous signcryption method is proved to satisfy confidentiality and unforgeability on the basis of the assumptions of Computational Diffie-Hellman problem (CDHP) and Bilinear Diffie-Hellman problem (BDHP) in the authentication phases, and it simultaneously guarantees the ciphertext anonymity. In addition, it can efficiently resist kinds of active attacks such as known-session key attack, key forge attack, and known-temporary secret key attack. Compared with other two-party authenticated key agreement protocols, the newly proposed key agreement protocol has better security, practicability and efficiency.

Provably secure identity-based authenticated key agreement protocol and its application

Shuai Shao, Bin Tian, Xin Wang +1 more

We point out the RYY+ identity-based (ID-based) key agreement protocol is vulnerable to Key-compromise impersonation (KCI) attack and Intermediate results leakage (IRL) attack. Then we give the improved protocol which provides KCI and IRL resistance. The novel protocol is provably secure under the gap Bilinear Diffie-Hellman assumption in the seCK model, which enhances the adversary's queries comparing with previous ID based AKE models. The proposed scheme also has an advantage over most previous schemes on security and efficiency.

Privacy-Enhancing Authenticated Key Agreement Protocols Based on Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem

Hong Lei

Authenticated key agreement protocol is designed to provide pair of parties communicating over an insecure network with a secure session key. However, most of the existing authenticated key agreement protocols are not designed for protecting privacy. We emphasize user's privacy properties in network services,in particular we stress anonymity and deniability. We specify the desired security properties of privacy-enhancing authentication key agreement protocols,i.e.mutual authentication, key control, key confirmation,session-key confidentiality,known-key security, forward secrecy, anonymity of user, forward anonymity of user, unlinkability, deniability.Based on elliptic curve cryptosystem we also propose a protocol which satisfies all the desired security properties.

An Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol Using Isogenies Between Elliptic Curves

Debiao He, Jianhua Chen, Hu Jin

All the current public-key cryptosystems will become insecure when size of a quantum register is sufficient. An authenticated key agreement protocol, which is against the attack of quantum computer, is proposed. The proposed protocol can provide the security properties known session key security, forward security, resistance to key-compromise impersonation attack and to unknown key-share attack, key control. We also prove its security in a widely accepted model.

Analysis and improvement of two-party key authenticated agreement scheme

Jian Shu

Based on signcryption scheme,Liu-Xu proposed an efficient and strong secure two-party key agreement protocol, which worked in an elliptic curve group.Security analysis showed that the scheme did not achieve strong security. The protocol, however, was susceptible to leakage of ephemeral secrets attack, and couldn't provide perfect forward security.Accor-dingly,the current paper demonstrated the vulnerability of Liu-Xu's protocol against such attacks due to redundancy of the exchange messages, and then presented an improved protocol in order to resolve such problems.
