Quantum Key Distribution Protocols Based on Heisenberg’s Uncertainty

Yenlik Begimbayeva, Temirlan Zhaxalykov

The proposed article is devoted to the analysis of quantum key distribution protocols based on the Heisenberg uncertainty. The peculiarity of this topic lies in the fact that modern methods of key distribution, which use classical calculations at their core, have significant drawbacks, in contrast to quantum key distribution. This problem concerns all types of algorithms and systems for encrypting secret information, both symmetric encryption with a private key and asymmetric encryption with a public key. An example is that in a communication channel protected by quantum key distributions, it is possible to detect an interceptor between two legal network entities using the principles laid down in quantum physics at the beginning of the last century. Principles and theorems such as the Heisenberg principle, quantum entanglement, superposition, quantum teleportation, and the no-cloning theorem. The field of study of this topic is a promising and rapidly developing area in the field of information security and information protection. There are already created commercial products with the implementation of some of the quantum key distribution protocols. Many of the created products are used in various spheres of human activity. The relevance of applying quantum key distribution protocols under ideal conditions without taking into account errors in the form of quantum noise is analyzed. The implementation of two quantum key distribution protocols based on the Heisenberg uncertainty principle is demonstrated, as well as the results of the appearance of keys and the probability of occurrence of each of them. The purpose of the article is aimed at analyzing and researching quantum key distribution protocols based on Heisenberg uncertainty. The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the BB84, B92 quantum key distribution protocols.

One Kind of Safer Cryptographic Technique: Quantum Cryptography

Wang A-chuan, Cao Jun

With the development of computer and communication technology, many people pay close attention to information security technology. Considering that the current encryption has many malpractices, some persons turn attention to quantum cryptography. Quantum Key Distribution is based on the principles of Heisenberg's uncertainty which guarantees that no eavesdropper can escape detection. According to this principle, this paper makes a study of the quantum cryptography technique, discusses the course of quantum key production and distribution in the quantum communication and the principle of quantum key distribution protocol in the communication by combining the application of quantum key protocol in the communication network. Current experimental progress on this aspect is introduced, existing problems are analyzed and some constructive suggestions are proposed. Finally, the developing trend for the theory of quantum password is prospected.

A Tutorial on Quantum Key Distribution

Baokang Zhao, Bo Liu, Chunqing Wu +2 more

Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology, based on quantum uncertainty principle, no-cloning theorem and Heisenberg uncertainty principle, can generate information-theoretically secure keys for communication parties. Typical QKD systems include the quantum communication phase and the post-processing phase and can be divided into three families: Device Dependent QKD, Source-Device Independent QKD and Measurement-Device Independent QKD. Nowadays, QKD is already mature enough for real-life applications. High-speed, long-distance and multi-access QKD technologies and security patches against quantum hacking are both continuously research tendency of QKD in the future.

Quantum Key Distribution : A Comprehensive Study

Bhavesh B. Prajapati

Cryptography is age old technique used for secret communication of messages. Quantum cryptography is providing cryptographic solutions based on laws of quantum physics. Quantum public key distribution is prominent solution using which two parties can communicate securely using quantum physics. Heisenberg uncertainty principle, no cloning theorem and photon polarization are used as basic properties for quantum key distribution. Photons are basic quantum particles and they are quantized for encryption. They are also known as qubits. This paper discusses concepts behind quantum key distribution and how it is secure against eavesdropper and future advances in technology.

Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) for Symmetric Key Transfer

Asoke Nath, Shreya Maity, Soham Banerjee +1 more

Classical cryptographic systems are increasingly challenged by advances in computing power and new algorithmic techniques, particularly with the rise of quantum computing, which threatens the security of current encryption methods. This has spurred interest in quantum-resistant cryptography, aimed at creating algorithms that can withstand attacks from quantum computers. Traditionally, secure key transport over alternate channels has been a significant challenge, but quantum mechanics offers a solution. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is a revolutionary method for secure communication that leverages quantum principles. Unlike traditional methods, QKD provides unconditional security, with key security ensured by the laws of physics rather than computational difficulty. The BB84 protocol, introduced in 1984 by Bennett and Brassard, is a leading QKD scheme known for its simplicity and effectiveness in generating eavesdropping-resistant cryptographic keys. It facilitates secure key transport over alternate channels. This documentation aims to advance QKD security by practically implementing and analyzing the BB84 protocol. Through detailed theoretical analysis, simulation studies, and experimental validation, the practical impacts, and limitations of BB84-based QKD systems are examined. Additionally, a practical implementation of quantum key distribution using a sudoku key demonstrates the process's simplicity and effectiveness. These findings are expected to pave new paths in the field of cryptanalysis in the emerging Quantum Age.

A Secure Method of Communication Through BB84 Protocol in Quantum Key Distribution

Chunduru Anilkumar, Swathi Lenka, N. Neelima +1 more

Security awareness is one of the most pressing topics in today's globe. The idea of cryptography is introduced when the subject is information security. Conventional cryptography-based security techniques rely on the presumption that keys are shared before secure connections. The most crucial factor to consider when integrating cryptographic operations into account when integrating cryptographic operations in with any system is the safe key management strategy required for sending and transferring a secret key between two entities The systems will be vulnerable to bugs and possibly fatal external assaults if the fundamental management methods are poor A method for securely encrypting data sent between parties is quantum cryptography. and spotting eavesdroppers trying to overhear the conversation. Quantum cryptography may be the solution to these issues a quantum cryptography application, Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), refers to the production of a cryptographic key with unconditional security assured by physical rules. Quantum cryptography is a kind of encryption. We examine the quantum key exchange protocol (BB84 protocol) in this study and the way that it significantly improves data transfer security when compared to standard encryption techniques. The main objective of quantum cryptography is to offer a trustworthy way to provide a secure method of communication between the intended peers only and to detect the Eavesdropper presence.
