The Development and Application of Quantum Teleportation

Hao Chen

Quantum teleportation is one of the most important protocols in quantum information, which is based on quantum entanglement. This paper provides an overview of the basic theory behind the original quantum teleportation protocol and explores its advanced variations. We validate these protocols' effectiveness by constructing simple quantum circuits. Following this, we delve into deeper theoretical aspects, experimental realizations, and applications of quantum teleportation, including quantum state exchange experiments and weak measurement techniques, as well as environment-assisted measurements. Finally, we briefly discussed its current limitations and the future prospects of quantum teleportation.

Progress in studies on preparation of the entangled state in quantum teleportation

Tianhao Wu

Quantum teleportation is the essence of quantum mechanics, and it is an inter-discipline project resulting from quantum mechanics, information science and so on.It is also one of the hot issues investigated in recent years. In this paper, the basic thinking and basic principles of quantum teleportation brought up by Bennett et al are reviewed at first, and then one of the basilic steps in quantum teleportation—preparation of the entangled state is introduced in detail, and some of its experimental realization schemes which are representative traditionally and recently are described.

The Applications and Challenges of Quantum Teleportation

Tao Liu

Abstract Quantum teleportation plays a crucial role in information science for its property of completely secure transmission. It was first demonstrated as a means of transferring the quantum state. Later, it has been extended greatly in the field of quantum computing, quantum network, and quantum communication and other fields. The first part of this paper will talk briefly about the basic theory of quantum teleportation and the applications that have been achieved in recent years in both commercial and scientific purposes. Next, the results of current experiments and the challenges that should be overcome in the future will be presented. The final section will be a discussion about the development of quantum teleportation and its future implementations.

Ronald E. Meyers, Arnold D. Tunick, Keith S. Deacon +1 more

Quantum-communications technologies, especially involving teleportation, will play an increasingly important role in both the domestic and defense sectors because of the promise for improved security, distributed quantum computing, and quantum sensing. This paper presents a review of this emerging field, summarizing key protocols as well as some representative quantum teleportation experiments conducted both in the laboratory and in the field. Briefly, in recent years, quantum teleportation has been demonstrated in both optical-fiber networks and in long-distance free-space channels, using entanglement on photonic chips as well as between photonic and atom/ion or solid-state qubits.

Quantum teleportation

Kishore T. Kapale, Muhammad Suhail Zubairy

Abstract The amazing properties of quantum systems, such as nonlocality, entanglement, superpositions and interference, have revolutionized our thinking about information processing and computing. Quantum teleportation is probably the most notable and dramatic among various concepts developed through the application of quantum mechanics to the information science. In this chapter we review the basic ideas behind quantum teleportation and discuss some interesting proposals for teleportation of various quantum systems. We also discuss the implementation of quantum teleportation based on the well-developed tools of cavity quantum electrodynamics.
