Abstract

The atom-field entanglement properties in the intensity-dependent coupling Jaynes-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium are investigated by using negative eigenvalues ofthe partial transposition matrix of the density matrix. The influences of Kerr medium and initial fieldon atom-field entanglement degree are discussed. The results show that the time evolution of atom-field entanglement degree has the periodicity, for different preparations. The period depends on thestrengthes of the field-atom coupling and field-medium interaction, with the increase of thestrengthes, the period becomes smaller. The initial state of the field plays an important role in the atom-field entanglement degree.

The Impact of Kerr Medium on the Evolution Characteristics of Entanglement Degree in the Intensity-dependent Coupling J-C Model

Wang Ju-xia

The evolution properties of entanglement degree between the light fields and atoms in the additional Kerr medium intensity-dependent coupling J-C model is researched by use of the method of part of the density matrix transpose matrix of negative eigenvalue, and the influence of Kerr medium on entanglement degree can be discussed as well.It is found that the time evolution of atom-field entanglement degree oscillate periodically. The period depends on the strengths of the field-atom coupling and field-medium interaction, and the period becomes smaller with the increase of the strengths. The cycle will reduce gradually with the intensity increasing. The entanglement degree reduces significantly with the number of photons rising or with the strengths of the field-atom coupling and field-medium interaction increasing. The initial state of the field plays an important role in the atom-field entanglement degree.

The dynamical properties in the nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model

YX Huang, Y Wang, Zhan Zhan

The properties of state evolution of the atom, field, and atom-field systems in the intensity-dependent coupling Jaynes-Cummings Model with an additional Kerr medium are investigated by using the distance between density operators. The effects of nonlinearity interaction of Kerr medium and the average photon number of initial coherent field on the dynamical behaviour of the quantum system are discussed in comparison with the one-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium.

Dissipative Dynamics of the Jaynes-Cummings Model with a Kerr Medium

Zhu Min

The full quantum theory is applied to the investigation of the entanglement between atom and field and the losses of coherence of the total system and its subsystems in the Jaynes-Cummings model with a Kerr medium.Linear entropies of the system, the atom and the field are calculated under the assumptions of dispersive atom-field interaction and initial coherent field states. The results show that the coherence loss of the atom is independent of the Kerr effect, the coherence loss of the system and that of the field are enhanced by the presence of the Kerr medium, and the entanglement between atom and field is suppressed by the medium. The time evolution of field entropy is affected by the cavity dissipation qualitatively as well as quantitatively.Only through cavity dissipation can the influence of Kerr effect on field entropy exhibit.

Time evolution of two-atom entanglement in Tavis-Cummings model

Wang Qin-mou

Based on the entanglement degree of two subsystem which can be measured by the negative eigenvalues of the partial transposition matrix, time evolution of entanglement degree of two atoms in the Tavis-Cummings model, which is interacted with a field in the Fock state,is investigated by numerical methods. When these two atoms are initially prepared in mixed states, the results show that the field in the Fock state, the initial state of two-atom and the coupling constant between the field and the two-atoms have a dramatic influence on the time evolution character of entanglement degree of two atoms.

Evolution of field entropy and entanglement in the intensity-dependent two-mode Jaynes–Cummings model

Gao Yun-feng, Jian Feng, Ji‐Suo Wang

The evolution of the entanglement degree of two-mode fields and atom with the intensity-dependent coupling is investigated using von Neumann entropy. The results for the initial fields in both coherent states and two-mode squeezed vacuum state are calculated. The influence of the field intensity on the entropy is discussed. It is found that the field and atom are generally in maximum entanglement but subject to periodic pulsed disentanglement completely under the condition of strong initial field.

Effects of Atomic Initial State and Coupling Intensity on Entanglement of the Quantum System

Zou Shi-qia

In the system of two coupling two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode field, effects of atomic initial state and coupling intensity on the entanglement of the quantum system are investigated by the method of negative eigenvalue of the partial transposition matrix. The results demonstrate that the entanglement between the two atoms shows a periodical oscillation, that the entanglement time between the atoms becomes longer and its amplitude becomes larger with increasing atomic initial stateθ,and that the entanglement periodicity between the atoms becomes larger and the subwave diminishes with increasing atomic coupling intensity.
