Abstract

Quantum communication is a new technique. It is based on the quantum mechanics, and is entirely different from the classical communication used nowadays. This paper focuses on the multi-users transportation within the quantum channel environment, utilizes the single user quantum channel model in order to (analyze) the case of multi-access,and gives out the specialty of the quantum channel.

Quantum Multiplexing for Quantum Computer Networks

Juan Carlos García-Escartín, Pedro Chamorro‐Posada

In communication networks many different channels must share a limited amount of resources. In order to allow for multiple simultaneous communications, multiple access techniques are routinely employed. With quantum communication, it is possible to share a new kind of resource. All of the system channels can be accommodated into a single channel in a larger Hilbert space. In the scheme, a single line combines the information of all the users, and, at the receiver, the original quantum channels are recovered. The given multiplexer/demultiplexer circuit can perform this n qubits to qudit transformation. Connections with superdense coding and classical multiple access schemes are discussed.

Multi-access channels in quantum information theory

ARMEN E. ALLAHVERDYAN, David B. Saakian

The multi-access channels in quantum information theory are considered. Classical messages from independent sources, which are represented as some quantum states, are transported by a channel to one address. The messages can interact with each other and with external environment. After statement of problem and proving some general results we investigate physically important case when information is transported by states of electromagnetic field. One-way communication by noisy quantum channels is also considered.

Quantum multi-user self-adaptive adjusting detection scheme

Sun Xiao-Nan

For quantum communication, quantum multi-user detection must accomplish communication,so that quantum multi-user detection is a key point. In this paper,we note that the quantum multi-user detection differs from the classical one, construct a multi-user quantum communication channel model, and propose a new self-adaptive adjusting quantum detection scheme. This scheme is feasible and error rate is reduced by measuring the actual optical fiber channel.

Quantum Multi-User Detection Based on Coherent State Signals

Wenbin Yu, Yinsong Xu, Wenjie Liu +2 more

Multi-user detection is one of the important technical problems for modern communications. In the field of quantum communication, the multi-access channel on which we apply the technology of quantum information processing is still an open question. In this work, we investigate the multi-user detection problem based on the binary coherent-state signals whose communication way is supposed to be seen as a quantum channel. A binary phase shift keying model of this multi-access channel is studied and a novel method of quantum detection proposed according to the conclusion of the quantum measurement theory. As a result, the average interference between deferent users is presented and the average error probability of the quantum detection is derived theoretically. Finally, we show the maximum channel capacity of this effective detection for a two-access quantum channel

Quantum spread spectrum communication

Travis S. Humble

We show that communication of single-photon quantum states in a multi-user environment is improved by using spread spectrum communication techniques. We describe a framework for spreading, transmitting, despreading, and detecting single-photon spectral states that mimics conventional spread spectrum techniques. We show in the cases of inadvertent detection, unintentional interference, and multi-user management, that quantum spread spectrum communications may minimize receiver errors by managing quantum channel access.
