Entanglement dynamics of two qubits driven by classical laser field

Abstract

The entanglement dynamics of two two-level atoms which are respectively trapped in two independent dissipative single-mode cavities and strongly driven by the classical fields is investigated analytically utilizing the super operator method. It is found that the entanglement is not related to the initial value of the cavity coherent states. The driving field enhances the entanglement sudden death for small dissipation of the cavity, while it protects the entanglement from sudden death for large dissipation in the presence of strong driving field. These results show that even in the bad cavity(with large decay rate),the entanglement can be free from sudden death with the assistance of classical driving field.

Entanglement sudden death of two atoms interacting with a cavity via the two-photon process in a strong-driving-assisted system

Chen Li, Shao Xiao-Qiang, Zhang Shou

We examine the entanglement dynamics between two strongly driven atoms off-resonantly coupled with a single-mode cavity via the two-photon process with the help of negativity in two different types of initial states. The results show that entanglement sudden death may occur under both the above conditions and the sudden death effect can be monitored by modulating the atom–cavity detunings. Furthermore, we also find an atomic decoherence-free subspace so that the initial entanglement between two atoms remains invariable in application.

Atomic entanglement sudden death in a strongly driven cavity QED system

Ying-Jie Zhang, Zhong‐Xiao Man, Yun‐Jie Xia

We study the entanglement dynamics of strongly driven atoms off-resonantly coupled with cavity fields. We consider conditions characterized not only by the atom-field coupling but also by the atom-field detuning. By studying two different models within the framework of cavity QED, we show that the so-called atomic entanglement sudden death (ESD) always occurs if the atom-field coupling lager than the atom-field detuning, and is independent of the type of initial atomic state.

Time evolution of entanglement and bistability of two coupled quantum dots in a driven cavity

Hsiao-harng Shiau, Arnab Mitra, Reeta Vyas

The time evolution of entanglement between two quantum dots (QDs) trapped inside a cavity driven by a coherent quantized field is studied. In the presence of dissipation, entanglement shows many interesting features such as sudden death and revival, and finite steady state value after sudden death. We also investigate dependence of entanglement on dot variables and its relation to bistability. It is found that entanglement vanishes when the cavity field intensity approaches the upper branch of the bistability curve. When the cavity is driven by a modulated field in the presence of dissipation, it can periodically generate entanglement, which is much larger than the maximum value attained in the steady-state for this system but the dots are never fully entangled.

Two atoms in dissipative cavities in dispersive limit: entanglement sudden death and long-lived entanglement

Jian-Song Zhang, Ai-Xi Chen, M Abdel-Aty

We investigate the entanglement dynamics and coherence of two two-level atoms interacting with two coherent fields of two spatially separated and dissipative cavities. It is in particular shown that entanglement sudden death is obtained within a short interaction time. However, after a long interaction time a long-lived entanglement is shown; that is, the initial entanglement of two atoms could be partially preserved. In addition, the coherence of the two atoms will not be lost during the evolution.

Dynamics of three qubits interacting with electromagnetic field in a lossless cavity

Ekaterina Averchenko, Eugene K. Bashkirov

We investigated the entanglement dynamics in a quantum system consisting of three two-level atoms resonantly coupled to a single mode electromagnetic field. We considered the dynamics of the system under consideration for Fock and thermal initial cavity states. An explicit analytical solution of the system has been obtained and the entanglement has been studied with the help of the two-qubit negativity. It was also shown that for both initial cavity states the sudden death of two-qubit entanglement takes place.

Dynamical behaviour of the entanglement between two spatially separated atoms under the influence of dissipation

Hui-Ping Cui, Jian Zou, J G Li +1 more

We consider two two-level atoms, which are located in two independent dissipative cavities. The two atoms are initially prepared in the singlet state. We investigate the influence of dissipation on the entanglement between the two atoms. In the case of resonance the degree of the entanglement can fall abruptly to zero, which is the so-called sudden death of entanglement. It is noted that when two atoms are in a common environment, the singlet state is a decoherence-free state. When the dispersive limit is fulfilled, the degree of entanglement between the two atoms is oscillating at first, then it arrives at a steady value, which increases with the increase of the damping constant κ; when both fields are initially in the vacuum state, the entanglement between the two atoms will not decay.
