Abstract

The generation of entangled light via two-level atomic medium inside a two-mode optical cavity is discussed according to the entanglement criterion proposed by Duan et al.We find that, under some conditions, the two-mode cavity field exhibits stable two-mode entanglement. The degree of the entanglement is dependent on the intensity of the pump field, the detuning, and the collective cooperativity.

ENTANGLEMENT FOR THE TWO-MODE FIELD IN THREE-LEVEL ATOMIC SYSTEMS

BO ZHANG, Guo-Qin Ge, Yunxia Ping

We investigate entanglement for the two-mode field in three-level atomic systems. Entanglement of the system is demonstrated according to the Duan's criterion.16 It shows that the entanglement has a close relation with the pump intensity. For large pump intensity, particular choice of its phase, zero detuning and cooperativity parameter, perfect entanglement for the two-mode field can be generated outside the cavity.

Generation of Two-Mode Squeezing and Continuous Variable Entanglement in a Nonlinear Coupler Inside a Optical Cavity

Hua Tan

The generation of two-mode squeezed and entangled light in a nonlinear coupler inside an optical cavity was studied. The master equation of the two-mode field was solved by the method of characteristic function. It shows that the state of the two-mode field is a two-mode Gaussian one,and under some conditions, the two-mode cavity field exhibits stable two-mode squeezing and continuous variable entanglement. The degree of the squeezing and entanglement is dependent on the damping rate of the cavity field and the coupling constants between the two modes.

Effect of initially atom coherence on two-mode-entanglement

Cui Hai-shen

Effect of the initially atom coherence on the two-mode-entanglement of three-level atom in cascade configuration was studied, according to the entanglement criterion proposed by Duan et al.The result shows that, entanglemengt of two-mode cavity field can be induced only when the atom coherence exists. If gain coefficient is unchanged, the degree of entanglement firstly increases and then decreases with the increase of detuning. In certain detuning circumstances, the degree of entanglement of two-mode cavity field increases with the increase of gain coefficient. If detuning is zero, the entanglemengt of two-mode cavity field can't be created,no matter whether the atomic coherence exists or not.

Continuous-variable entanglement in a two-mode four-level single-atom laser

Xin‐You Lü, Jibing Liu, Liu-Gang Si +1 more

This paper investigate the generation and evolution of continuous-variable entanglement in a two-mode single-atom laser, where the atomic coherence is induced by two classical laser fields (pump and coupling field) driving the corresponding atom transitions. It is found that the intensity of the coupling field can influence effectively the entanglement period of the cavity field. More importantly, our numerical results also show that the intensity and period of entanglement between the two cavity modes as well as the total mean photon number of the cavity field can be increased synchronously by adjusting the corresponding frequency detuning.

Generation of two-mode Gaussian-type entangled states of light via a quantum beat laser

Aiping Fang, Yilong Chen, Fuli Li +2 more

The generation of two-mode Gaussian-type entangled states of the cavity field is studied in a quantum beat laser, where three-level atoms of the $V$-type level configuration are coupled to two quantized modes of the cavity field and two upper levels of the atom are driven by a strongly classical field. According to Simon's criterion that is a necessary and sufficient condition for the inseparability of two-mode Gaussian states with a general form of covariance matrices, we analytically and numerically investigate the influence of phase and Rabi frequency of the classical driving field, cavity loss, and the purity and nonclassicality of the initial state of the cavity field on the entanglement property of the resulting two-mode Gaussian state. In the limit of weak cavity loss and strong driving, we show that the cavity field can be periodically into an ideal two-mode entangled Gaussian-type state.

Abstract We apply nondegenerate four-wave mixing processes to the generation of stable continuous variable entangled light and study the time evolution of continuous variable entangled light. We analytically get the characteristic function of the two-mode field and find that the system is an optical parametric amplifier. We also show that the two-mode cavity field exhibits stable continuous variable entanglement under certain conditions.
