Abstract

Based on the nonidentical coupling of N atoms with a single-mode cavity,a scheme for generation of an N-atom W state is proposed in cavity QED.Under the condition of the large-detuned interaction Δ》gj,the influence of cavity decay is negligible.Such multiple-qubit entanglement will have wide applications to large-scale quantum communication and quantum computation.

A Three-Qubit W State via Atoms-Cavity Nonidentical Coupling

Ying-Qiao Zhang

A scheme for generation of a three-Qubit W state is proposed in cavity QED based on nonidentical coupling between the atoms and the cavity. In this scheme, the atoms interact with a highly detuned cavity-field mode, the quantum information doesn't transfer between the atoms and cavity field, thus the cavity decay is negligible.

Generation of anN-qubit phase gate via atom—cavity nonidentical coupling

Ying-Qiao Zhang, Zhang Shou

A scheme for approximate generation of an N-qubit phase gate is proposed in cavity QED based on nonidentical coupling between the atoms and the cavity. The atoms interact with a highly detuned cavity-field mode, but quantum information does not transfer between the atoms and cavity field, and thus the cavity decay is negligible. The gate time does not rise with an increase in the number of qubits. With the choice of a smaller odd number l (related to atom–cavity coupling constants), the phase gate can be generated with a higher fidelity and a higher success probability in a shorter time (the gate time is much shorter than the atomic radiative lifetime and photon lifetime). When the number of qubits N exceeds certain small values, the fidelity and success probability rise slowly with an increase in the number of qubits N. When N → ∞ , the fidelity and success probability infinitely approach 1, but never exceed 1.

Generation of a Genuine Six-Atom Entangled State in Cavity QED

李渊华, 王贤平, 桑明煌 +1 more

We propose a potential scheme to generate a genuine six-atom entangled state [J. Phys. A 42 (2009) 415301] by using atoms in cavity QED system, where the atoms interact simultaneously with the highly detuned single-mode cavity and the strong classical driving field. Thus our approach is insensitive to both the cavity decay and thermal field.

Simple scheme for generating an n -qubit W state in cavity QED

Zhi Jiao Deng, Mang Feng, K. Gao

A simple scheme is proposed to generate an $n$-qubit $W$ state in cavity QED. Conditioned on no photon leakage from the cavity, the $n$-qubit $W$ state can be generated by resonant interaction between atoms and the cavity if the cavity is initially prepared in the single-photon state and all the atoms are in the ground states. We check the time evolution of the system involving decay, and show that, since the required interaction time is very short, with present cavity QED techniques, the success probability of our scheme is almost unity.

Scheme for the preparation of multiparticle entanglement in cavity QED

Guo‐Ping Guo, Chuan‐Feng Li, Jian Li +1 more

Here we present a quantum electrodynamics model involving a large-detuned single-mode cavity field and n identical two-level atoms. One of its applications for the generation of multiparticle entangled states of various kinds (Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states and different class of so-called W states) is analyzed. The theoretical prediction for the model of $n=2$ is made that is consistent with the experimental result by considering the possible three-atom collisions.
