Abstract

According to the way of the second level amendment of the energy and the wave function in the non-degenerate perturbation theory, the second level amendment of the energy and the wave function are induced in degenerate perturbation theory, which forms the formula of the second level amendment.

The non-degenerate stationary state perturbation theory and its recursion forms

JI Shi-yin

According to the non-degenerate stationary state perturbation theory, the recursion forms of any level amendment of energy and wave function are induced. It is easy to use computer to calculate the numerical value with the recursion forms. The results are the same as the exact solutions at a given accuracy.

The Computation of High Order Approximation Formulae in Non-degenerate Stationary Perturbation Theory

Bo Wu

By the method of expanding wave function and energy level one by one,we compute the high order approximation formulae in non-degenerate stationary perturbation theory, where the wave function is computed to the second order and the energy leve to the third order.

The Discussion of the Second Order Perturbation Formula When Degeneracy is not Removed Completely

Weiyi Ren

To study the problem conveniently, the article classifies the not perturbed energy level into degenerate and non-degenerate.Then it avoids the trouble of explaining |k and gets the same revised formula of the second order as that of document[1],when approximation of the first order is not removed completely.

A New Approach on Wave Function and Energy Level Calculation Through Perturbation Theory

Biswanath Rath

A new approach to non-relativistic large order perturbation theory for constructing energy and wave function correction up to K th order has been developed. Convergent argument of this series has been demonstrated for the ground state of second order and fourth order Schroedinger equation. Further a comparison with the Bender and Wu computational work reflects that the present series is not the same as Rayleigh-Schroedinger perturbation series.

Non-degenerate fourth order perturbation theory

Gilbert A. Ibitola, Olanrewaju Ajanaku, Abiola Olawale Ilori

There exist several forms of perturbation theory in Quantum Mechanics, namely: non-degenerate perturbation theory, degenerate perturbation theory, time-dependent perturbation theory, time-constant perturbation theory and time-harmonic perturbation theory. This paper presents an extension of the perturbation theory for non-degenerate states. It has been observed that most texts and journal papers treat only the first –order and second-order non-degenerate perturbation theory. Therefore, this paper attempts to treat and present the third order and fourth order non-degenerate perturbation theory in quantum mechanics. It can thus be asserted that the higher the order of perturbations of quantum systems that we know, the more successful will be our efforts in suppressing or eliminating them.

Energy Levels and Wave Functions of Particles in a One-Dimensional Infinite Square Well with a δ(x)-Potential Perturbation

WU Xue-yong

The first-,second- and third-order perturbation corrections to the zero-order energy levels and the first- and second- order corrections to the zero-order wave functions of particles in a one-dimensional infinite square well with a δ(x)-potential perturbation are calculated in detail.
