Abstract

A discussion is made about the squeezing properties of several superpositions, the vacuum state with coherent state or odd and even coherent state. It is found that the vacuum state has important value in squeezing.

Enhancement of nonclassical effect and superposition state

Zhanxian Yan, Kaicheng Zhu, Qing Wang

The quantum statistical properties of the superposition state involving a coherent state and a squeezed vacuum are investigated. Such states can enhance the squeezing parameter and the intensity compared with the incoming squeezed vacuum state. Also, the antibunching effect can occur in such states under certain conditions.
