Abstract

By virtue of the linear quantum transformation theory(LQTT), a general formula is obtained, which calculate the quantum fluctuations for bipartite entangled state of continuous variables in Fock space. Moreover, the squeezed properties of the entangled state are discussed. The relations between the state parameters are depicted by means of the linear fitting, when the degree of the fluctuation and entanglement entropy reach the extremum. When the entangled state is maximally entangled, the results show that the squeezed degree is also maximal. In addition, the changing relationship between the quantum fluctuations and the quantum entanglement is acquired. The derived formula are used to calculate the fluctuation of the common two-mode squeezed vacuum state and the two-mode one-sided squeezed vacuum state as examples.

Degree of Entanglement for Some Bipartite Entangled Bosonic Systems

Xian-Ting Liang

We calculate the degree of entanglement for some bipartite entangled states of continuous variables. These states include common two-mode squeezed vacuum state, thermal vacuum state of a free single particle (where the fictitious tilde system is regarded as another particle), and the squeezed vacuum state of two coupling harmonic oscillators. The degree of entanglement for these quantum systems are shown clearly by using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators.

We construct the generalized squeezed vacuum state by virtue of the entangled state [Fan Hongyi and J.R. Klauder, Phys. Rev. Wavefunctions of two-mode states in entangled-state representation

Hong-Yi Fan, Alfred Wünsche

Two-mode entangled-state wavefunctions and with complex variables z and y are introduced and investigated. They are direct analogues of the wavefunctions and in the single-mode case or are linearly related to each other by two-dimensional Fourier transformation. The states and are eigenstates of two pairs of commuting operators ( Z , Z † ) (or ( Q + , P − )) and ( Y , Y † ) (or ( P + , Q − )) to eigenvalues ( z , z * ) and ( y , y * ), respectively, and are normalized by means of the two-dimensional delta function. The entangled states and are represented as two limiting cases of two-mode squeezed coherent states. Different representations of these states, in particular, the analogue of the Agarwal–Simon representation of squeezed vacuum states, are derived and the properties of these states are discussed. The transition from the single-mode to the two-mode case is made using the common property of the squeezing operators to belong to different realizations of the abstract SU (1,1) group. The Wigner quasiprobability in representation of the states and is discussed and is explicitly calculated for two-mode squeezed vacuum (and squeezed coherent) states.

Four-mode coherent entangled state as an entanglement of two bipartite coherent entangled states

Liyun Hu, Hong-Yi Fan

By introducing a four-mode unitary operator U = exp[−iλ(X 1 P 2 + X 2 P 3 + X 3 P 4 + X 4 P 1)], we show how a four-mode coherent entangled state can be generated by entangling a two bipartite coherent entangled state. The corresponding squeezed vacuum state U|0000⟩ in four-mode Fock space is derived by virtue of the technique of integration within ordered production of operators, which exhibits the standard squeezing for the four-mode quadratures. A new ideal quantum mechanical representation |α, β, γ⟩ is constructed from U|0000⟩ in the limit of infinite squeezing, which possesses the properties of both coherent and entangled states. The entanglement involved in |α, β, γ⟩ is explained. A scheme for generating |α, β, γ⟩ is presented.
