Abstract

The squeezing properties of light field interacting with the A-type three level atom via intensity-dependent coupling are studied and the influences of detuning between the atomic transition frequency and the light frequency in single-photon process and the initial squeezing of light on the light squeezing are discussed emphatically. The results show that both the detuning and the initial squeezing of light strongly influence the squeezing of field. The light squeezing remains continuous if the detuning is big enough, but if the detuning is little the light field will be squeezed periodically. The bigger the initial squeezing factor of light is, the deeper the light squeezing is.

Fang Jia-Yuan

The evolution properties of the entropy of squeezed field interacting with the V-type three level atom via intensity-dependent coupling have been studied. The discussion is focused on the influence of the detuning and initial squeezing factor of light on the field entropy. The results show that the field entropy value rises with the increasing of initial squeezing factor of light. When the squeezing factor is smaller, the field entropy evolution is periodic and this periodicity vanishes gradually with the increasing of initial squeezing factor of light. The detuning influences remarkably on the field entropy which oscilates irregularly with the increasing of detuning.

Influence of Ξ-type three-level atomic Bose-Einstein condensate on the squeezing properties of light field

Ming Li, Ding-Han Chen, Chen Cui-Ling

The Hamiltonian operator of a system of Ξ-type three-level atomic Bose-Einstein condensate interacting with single-mode squeezed coherent light field is improved in terms of the lattice-liquid model, and the squeezing properties of light field in this system are studied. The results show that two quadrature components of light can be squeezed periodically. The maximum depth of squeezing is determined by the interaction intensity between light field and atoms and the initial squeezing factor of light, and squeezing period is correlated with the frequency of the light field.

The time evolution of light squeezing in the system of squeezed vacuum field interacting with V-type three-level atom via intensity-dependent coupling is studied by means of the quantum theory without rotating wave approximation. The result obtained by means of numerical method indicate that the light field is periodically squeezed,Moreover, the squeezing of light field is restrained and the quantum chaos caused by the virtual-photon process depend on the initial state parameters of the system:r,ω and g.When r increases, the inhibition of squeezing of light field by the virtual-photon process becomes stronger and then weaker. When ω and g increase, the quantum chaos gradually become weak or strong respectively.
