Abstract

Knowledge theory, methodology and practice theory of quantum information provide explanations to basic morphology of ontology and collective correlation for scientific philosophy. From philosophical view, the knowledge theory of quantum information provides direction of understanding micro reality ontology for basic research of quantum information, reflects cognition from integral representation of microcosmic particle to?constructive relation reality, and describes the epistemic process from the knowledge theory of representationism to internal connections between subject and object. The epistemic process of quantum information from ontology to entirety is of important significance to human activities of ecognition and thinking, which provides new knowledge theory and methodology to human.

Quantum Information Theory: Towards the Paradigm of Cognition, the Theory

Andrew S. Targowski

It is the author's concept of quantum information theory as a universal paradigm of cognition and a theory of everything, integrating physics, epistemology, and the ontology of sense. The author assumes that information is not only a description of reality, but its primordial material -cognitive energy that co-creates matter, consciousness, and the evolution of civilization. The model is based on a five-step hierarchy of cognitive transformation: data → information → concept → knowledge → wisdom, corresponding to the gradual ordering of the entropy of sense. The process of cognition is quantum in nature: every act of thinking exists in the superposition of senses, and only at the moment of interpretation does the collapse of sense occur, i.e., the transition from potentiality to cognitive actuality. The author develops an analogy between the wave of cognition and the wave of matter, introducing the concepts of the amplitude of sense and cognitive entropy as formal measures of the quality of cognition. The result is a theory in which man, artificial intelligence, and the Universe participate in a single field of quantum information, and the cognitive equilibrium corresponds to the state of minimal entropy -wisdom.The article integrates the classical concepts of Bohm, Einstein, McLuhan, and Floridi, showing information as an efficient factor equal to energy and matter. The proposed concept of Homo sapiens harmonicus presents the man of the future as a being capable of harmonizing the amplitudes of sense, combining knowledge with values, and transforming technology into a tool for spiritual development. The paper concludes with the postulate of a quantum epistemology, in which philosophy becomes the science of organizing the world's information field-the art of transforming the chaos of data into the wisdom of existence.

Quantum Ontology and Epistemic Boundaries: Deciphering the Paradoxes and Interpretations of Subatomic Reality

Adnan Hussain

Modern scientists describe the universe in terms of two basic partial theories: firstly, the general theory of relativity proposed by Albert Einstein, and secondly, the theory of quantum mechanics. This theory introduces an immense reality and simultaneously creates complex questions for the world of physics. Quantum mechanics is an incompletable knowledge however scientists are finding the basic theories from this theory. They propose complex mathematical expressions from quantum mechanics to prove the basic law of atoms. Quantum mechanics is the entire knowledge of subatomic particles such as electrons, protons, and neutrons. Quantum mechanics reveals that what we see is just a part of a deeper reality. Then we can grasp from this theory that the material world is not the completed reality; there are other things beyond human physical senses. The concept of quantum mechanics describes particles that can exist in multiple states. The concept of quantum mechanics is directly proportional to contemporary world technologies. The super specialty of this theory is that scientists cannot be explained universe without quantum mechanics. The uncertainty principle of Heisenberg in quantum mechanics suggests that there are limits to what we can know about a particle state of an atom. Humans cannot yet find out what it looks like and how we can imagine the existence of subatomic particles in an atom. That was an unseen dynamite for humans' perspective observation of the material world.

ONTOLOGICAL BASES OF THE QUANTUM THEORY

S. N. Zharov

The realized analysis shows internal communication of quantum mechanics with ontological problems which were born in sources of a rational thought and were present in the history of philosophy and science. The quantum theory describes evolution of possibility however Being of an possibility cannot be presented as the ontological subject. It leads us to new understanding of ontology. In article on the basis of plots of quantum mechanics and history of philosophy and science the new definition of Being is given and it allows to see internal unity classical and nonclassical ontology. Basic attribute of Being is two-dimensional action, which can work a) in the form of events or b) at not-event levell (in quantum mechanics it is presented through an interference of amplitudes of probability). Thus, Being comprises two internally connected level - subject and not-subject. Rationally expressed causal relationship of these two measurements is discovery which is made in the quantum theory, but has the general philosophical meaning.

Philosophical Problems of Quantum Physics: Main Solutions and Beyond

Paolo Di Sia

We present a historical-epistemological analysis of the foundations of quantum mechanics, highlighting the relationships between quantum mechanics and scientific realism, as well as the influence of the neo-positivist philosophy of the first decades of the 20th century. The great significance of the measurement process in the context of quantum mechanics is underlined as an essential element in providing a coherent description of reality, moving from micro to macrocosm, as well as the role that the measurement apparatus and the consciousness of the observer assume during the act of measurement, the related ontological problems, the question of the objectification of the wave function, and that of the definition of discernibility. We consider also an overview of the most important alternative proposals to the standard interpretation of quantum mechanics (Copenhagen interpretation), with particular reference to hidden variable theories and other alternatives to standard quantum mechanics philosophical approach, that are modifying the vision of reality, such as the Everett’s many-worlds theory, the QBism and unified holistic approaches, such as the Primordial Dynamic Space.

Natural Philosophical Critique of Quantum Mechanics

H. J. Spencer

This paper re-opens the debate on the failure of quantum mechanics to provide an understandable view of micro-reality. A critique is offered of the commonly accepted ‘Copenhagen Interpretation’ of a theory that is only a mathematical approach to the level of reality characterized by atoms and electrons. This critique is based on the oldest approach to thinking about nature for over 2500 years, known as Natural Philosophy. Quantum mechanics (QM) was developed over the first quarter of the 20th Century, when scientists were enthralled by a new philosophy known as Positivism, whose foundations were based on the assumption that material objects exist only when measured by humans – This central assumption conflates epistemology (knowledge) with ontology (existence). The present critique rejects this human-centered view of reality by assuming material reality has existed long before (and will persist long after) human beings (“Realism”). The defensive view that the micro-world is too different to understand using regular thinking (and only a mathematical approach is possible) is rejected totally. At least 12 earlier QM interpretations are critically analyzed, indicating the broad interest in “what does QM mean?” The standard theory of quantum mechanics is thus constructed on only how the micro-world appears to macro measurements - as such, it cannot offer any view of how the foundations of the world are acting when humans are not observing it - this has generated almost 100 years of confusion and contradiction at the very heart of physics. Significantly, we live in a world that is not being measured by scientists but is interacting with itself and with us. QM has failed to provide explanations: only recipes (meaningless equations), not insights. Physics has returned to the pre-Newtonian world of Ptolemaic phenomenology: only verifiable numbers without real understanding. The focus needs to be on an explicit linkage between the micro-world, when left to itself, and our mental models of this sphere of material reality, via the mechanism of measurement. This limits the role of measurement to confirming our mental models of reality but never confusing these with a direct image of ‘the thing in itself’. This implies a deep divide between reality and appearances. This paper proposes that it is the attempt to preserve continuum mathematics (especially calculus), which drives much of the mystery and confusion behind all attempts to understand quantum mechanics. The introduction of discrete mathematics is proposed to help analyze the discrete interactions between the quintessential quantum objects: the electrons and their novel properties. Additionally, several hidden major assumptions have been present in Classical Mechanics (represented by continuum mathematics) since its inception by Newton that are blocking progress and understanding of quantum mechanics. A related paper demonstrates that it is possible to create a point-particle theory of electrons that explains all their peculiar (and ‘paradoxical’) behavior without introducing the continuum mathematical ideas of fields or waves. * Surrey, B.C.
