Abstract

Quantum entanglement and entanglement measure play an important role in quantum communication theory. In this paper, using a computable measure of entanglement——Negativity,we obtain the Negativity for a two-parameter class of state in high-dimension two-party quantum system. The advantages of this method include its simple evaluation and explicit physic meaning.

Relative Entropy of Entanglement for a Two-parameter Class ofStates in 2n Quantum System

Di Yao-Min

Any arbitrary state in bipartite quantum system can be transformed into a two-parameter class of states by means of local quantum operation and classical communication. In this paper, the quantum relative entropy of entanglement for this kind of states is calculated, the nearest separable states are found and the analytic expression of the entanglement is obtained. The comparation with two other measures of entanglement, the negativity and the entanglement of formation,is also made. The sequence of three measures from high to low is the negativity, the entanglement of formation and the relative entropy of entanglement.

Negativity as an Estimator of Entanglement Dimension

Christopher Eltschka, Jens Siewert

Among all entanglement measures negativity arguably is the best known and most popular tool to quantify bipartite quantum correlations. It is easily computed for arbitrary states of a composite system and can therefore be applied to discuss entanglement in an ample variety of situations. However, as opposed to logarithmic negativity, its direct physical meaning has not been pointed out yet. We show that the negativity can be viewed as an estimator of how many degrees of freedom of two subsystems are entangled. As it is possible to give lower bounds for the negativity even in a device-independent setting, it is the appropriate quantity to certify quantumness of both parties in a bipartite system and to determine the minimum number of dimensions that contribute to the quantum correlations.

Entanglement for a two-parameter class of states in 2 nquantum system

Dong Pyo Chi, Soojoon Lee

We exhibit a two-parameter class of states ρ (α,γ) in a 2 ⊗ n quantum system for n ⩾ 3, which can be obtained from an arbitrary state by means of local quantum operations and classical communication, and which are invariant under all bilateral operations on a 2 ⊗ n quantum system. We calculate the negativity of ρ (α,γ) , and a lower bound and a tight upper bound on its entanglement of formation. It follows from this calculation that the entanglement of formation of ρ (α,γ) cannot exceed its negativity.

Protecting high-dimensional entanglement from decoherence via quantum weak measurement and reversal

Kun-Hong Feng, Yu‐Chi Chen, Ping Zhou

High-dimensional quantum communication plays an important role in long-distance quantum communication. It is shown that two-qubit quantum entanglement can be protected from amplitude damping decoherence. We study the effect of amplitude damping decoherence on two-qubit high-dimensional quantum entanglement. The negativity for high-dimensional quantum entanglement with or without quantum weak measurement and the reversal in amplitude damping decoherence are presented. We found that nonmaximally entangled state may have better performance than maximally entangled state in amplitude damping decoherence. Moreover, we show that arbitrary high-dimensional quantum entanglement can be protected from amplitude damping decoherence by weak measurement and the reversal. The results of our protocol are in agreement with previous analysis for the case of qubits and qutrits.

Computable constraints on entanglement-sharing of multipartite quantum states

Yong-Cheng Ou, Mark Byrd

\Negativity is regarded as an important measure of entanglement in quantum information theory. In contrast to other measures of entanglement, it is easily computable for bipartite states in arbitrary dimensions. In this paper, based on the negativity and realignment, we provide a set of entanglement-sharing constraints for multipartite states, where the entanglement is not necessarily limited to bipartite and pure states, thus aiding in the quantification of constraints for entanglement-sharing. These may find applications in studying many-body systems.
