Abstract

Transferring a quantum state from one location to another without physically sending the state itself through open space is a special global task that can only be carried out thanks to the laws of nature, namely the principles of quantum mechanics. In this work, we devise protocols for two senders to jointly prepare the most general two-qubit state for a receiver under the supervision of a controller by using three different types of quantum channels, all of which are non-maximally entangled. First, we propose the schemes to produce the quantum channels concerned, and then we present the concrete steps required to execute the protocols, highlighting the issue of why shared non-maximal entanglement is intentionally used instead of maximal entanglement.

Quantum multicast schemes of different quantum states via non-maximally entangled channels with multiparty involvement*

Yan Yu, Nan Zhao, Changxing Pei +1 more

Due to the unavoidable interaction between the quantum channel and its ambient environment, it is difficult to generate and maintain the maximally entanglement. Thus, the research on multiparty information transmission via non-maximally entangled channels is of academic value and general application. Here, we utilize the non-maximally entangled channels to implement two multiparty remote state preparation schemes for transmitting different quantum information from one sender to two receivers synchronously. The first scheme is adopted to transmit two different four-qubit cluster-type entangled states to two receivers with a certain probability. In order to improve success probabilities of such multicast remote state preparation using non-maximally entangled channels, we put forward the second scheme, which deals with the situation that is a synchronous transfer of an arbitrary single-qubit state and an arbitrary two-qubit state from one sender to two receivers. In particular, its success probability can reach 100% in principle, and independent of the entanglement degree of the shared non-maximally entangled channel. Notably, in the second scheme, the auxiliary particle is not required.

Joint Remote Preparation of an Arbitrary Three-qubit State Via Generalized Bell States Channel

Yun‐Jie Xia

In this paper,a scheme for realizing a joint remote preparation of an arbitrary three-qubit state is researched. The scheme adopts generalized Bell states as quantum channels, each preparer measures his/her qubits in an appropriate basis and broadcasts through a public classical communication channel the measurement outcome based on which the receiver carries out necessary actions.By introducing an auxiliary particle and making selective measurement on it,the receiver can reconstruct the desired state with probability less than unity. The result shows that by using different type of generalized Bell states channel, the probability of joint remote preparation of an arbitrary three-qubit state is the same. While the generalized Bell states channel is maximally entangled, the joint remote preparation obtains the maximall total success probability.

Multi-party deterministic joint RSP of arbitrary multi-qubit states via maximal slice states

Jian Zhao, Jun Jiang, Yu Zhou +1 more

In this paper, two efficient proposals are presented by using maximal slice states and orthogonal measurement basis to realize the joint remote state preparation (RSP) of two-qubit and three-qubit states, respectively. Furthermore, this kind of joint RSP schemes could be generalized to the case of arbitrary multi-qubit states, which can be transmitted from two senders to one receiver with the supervision of one manager. The successful probability of this joint RSP scheme is always equal to 100% in spite of that quantum channel is composed of non-maximally entangled states.

Probabilistic controlled remote state preparation of an arbitrary two-qubit state via partially entangled states with multi parties

We propose a novel and efficient scheme for probabilistic controlled remote state preparation of an arbitrary two-qubit quantum state with the aid of the introduction of auxiliary particles and some appropriate local unitary operations. In this scheme, two partially three-qubit entangled states are used as quantum channel. The controlled preparation with one sender, two receivers and one controller can be realized when the information of nonmaximally entangled states are only available for the sender. Furthermore, the concrete implementation processes of this proposal are presented, and the successful probability of our scheme are calculated in the general case and special case, respectively.

Deterministic joint remote state preparation via a non-maximally entangled channel

Xuanxuan Xin, Shi-Wen He, Yongxing Li +1 more

Abstract Ideal deterministic quantum communication tasks require maximally entangled channels. The reality is that the maximally entangled channel is inevitably degraded to a generally entangled one because of various decoherence mechanisms, seriously deteriorating the performance of quantum communication. In most cases, entanglement purification and distillation are utilized to improve the entanglement and to construct the maximally entangled channel. In this paper, we proposed an alternative scheme to realize deterministic joint remote state preparation using a non-maximally entangled channel. Instead of spending additional entanglement resources in advance for entanglement purification or distillation, only two non-entangled ancillaries are employed in this scheme. Whether the employed quantum channel is a maximally entangled channel or a generally entangled one, remote state preparation would never fail theoretically in this investigation. This protocol provides a feasible way for the construction of practical quantum networks.

Multiparty probabilistic controlled joint remote preparation of an arbitrary m-qudit equatorial state with a pure entangled quantum channel

Yonghong Li, Liang-Ming He, Ping Zhou

The quantum equatorial state, a special kind of quantum state, has attracted much attention because of its potential for applications in quantum information processing. The remote preparations of arbitrary two-qudit, three-qudit equatorial and m-qudit equatorial states have been studied via different entangle quantum channels. In this paper, we propose two protocols for the controlled joint remote preparation of an arbitrary m-qudit equatorial state with a pure entangled quantum channel. The first is for the controlled joint remote preparation of the m-qudit equatorial state by using m multiparticle GHZ-class states as the quantum channel, and the second is for the controlled joint remote preparation of the m-qudit equatorial state via a multiparticle entangled state. All senders share information about the prepared state and perform m-particle projective measurements on their entangled particles according to their information about the prepared state. All controllers perform generalized X-basis measurements on their entangled particles. If a receiver cooperates with all the senders and controllers, he can prepare the original state probabilistically by performing unitary operations on his entangled particles and an auxiliary qubit. This protocol is more convenient for applications because it only requires nonmaximal entanglement for the controlled joint remote preparation of an arbitrary m-qudit equatorial state.
