Scheme of physical layer secrecy coding under partial channel characteristics

Zhong Zhou

This paper proposed a scheme of physical layer secrecy coding under partial channel characteristics aiming at physical layer secure transmission problem. The multi-antenna transmitter exploited beam-former to send signal with artificial noise which was orthogonal with authorized channel characteristics. It used interleaving LDPC to reduce the security gap between authorized channel and eavesdropping channel. Then found the minimum secrecy outage probability with authorized channel SNR constraint, and archived the optimal power allocation for physical layer secure transmission. So the authorized channel could keep low BER with high SNR,while the eavesdropping channel could only have high BER with low SNR.Simulation results show that, the proposed method can realize lower secrecy outage probability with authorized channel SNR constraint.

Physical layer secrecy performance with transmitter antenna selection over dissimilar fading channels

Dac‐Binh Ha, Nguyen-Son Yo

In this paper, we investigate the physical layer secrecy performance of a multi-input single-output system. The system consists of multiple antennas at transmitter and single antenna at receiver in the presence of a passive eavesdropper with single antenna over dissimilar fading channels. On the assumption that legal channel is subject to Rayleigh fading while illegal channel undergoes Hoyt fading, expressions for the existence probabilities of secrecy capacity and secrecy outage are derived by using statistical characteristics of signal-to-noise ratio. Analytical results are verified by Monte-Carlo simulations.

Performance Analysis for Physical Layer Security in Multi-Antenna Downlink Networks with Limited CSI Feedback

Xiaoming Chen, Rui Yin

Channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter is of importance to the performance of physical layer security based on multi-antenna networks. Specifically, CSI is not only beneficial to improve the capacity of the legitimate channel, but also can be used to degrade the performance of the eavesdropper channel. Thus, the secrecy rate increases accordingly. This letter focuses on the quantitative analysis of the ergodic secrecy sum-rate in terms of feedback amount of the CSI from the legitimate users in multiuser multi-antenna downlink networks. Furthermore, the asymptotic characteristics of the ergodic secrecy sum-rate in two extreme cases is investigated in some detail. Finally, our theoretical claims are confirmed by the numerical results.
