Abstract

Using an optimal Monte Carlo renormalization group method, the scaling exponent for six-state Potts model on 2-dimensional random triangle lattice is studied. The scaling exponent , is consistent with the expectant value of the scaling theory.

Scaling exponent for 3-state Potts model on 3-dimensional random triangle lattice

Chen Tian-Lun, Huang Wuqun

An optimal Monte Carlo renormalization group method is applied to 3-state Potts model on 3-dimensional random triangle lattice. The scaling exponent ν of the first order phase transition of this model has been obtained. In the disorder phase ν = 0.369(±0.044), y T = 1/ν = 2.71(±0.32), in the order phase ν = 0.393(±0.048), y T = 2.54(±0.31). They approximate to the prediction of the scaling theory.

MONTE CARLO RENORMALIZATION GROUP STUDY OF THREE-STATE AND FOUR-STATE POTTS MODEL ON TWO-DIMENSIONAL RANDOM TRIANGLE LATTICE

Wu-Qun Huang, Chen Tian-Lun, XIN YUN-WEI +1 more

An improved Monte Carlo renormalization group method is applied to three-state and four-state Potts models on two-dimensional random triangle lattice. Their fixed points and critical exponents are analysed. The critical exponents obtained are consistent with the theoretical analytical values.

Monte Carlo investigation of the one-dimensional dynamical Potts model

Alain S. Karma, Michael J. Nolan

Monte Carlo results are presented for a variety of one-dimensional dynamical $q$-state Potts models. Our calculations confirm the expected universal value $z=2$ for the dynamic scaling exponent. Our results also indicate that an increase in $q$ at fixed correlation length drives the dynamics into the scaling regime

Critical exponents and marginality of the four-state Potts model: Monte Carlo renormalization group

Robert H. Swendsen, David Andelman, A. Nihat Berker

The thermal critical exponent of the four-state Potts model in two dimensions is evaluated as ${\ensuremath{\nu}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}=1.49\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.01$, using the Monte Carlo renormalization-group method. The presence of a marginal scaling direction is also indicated. These results confirm previous conjectures, universality, and logarithmic corrections. A purely Potts Hamiltonian is considered. A four-point interaction is used to control the chemical potential of effective vacancies, without the introduction of explicit vacancy states.

MONTE CARLO RENORMALIZATION GROUP STUDY OF φ~4 MODEL

Zhibing Li, Zhong Chao-wu, Chen Tian-Lun +1 more

The Monte Carlo renormalization group method proposed by Callaway is applied to φ~4 model on two dimensional triangle lattice. The flow diagram, fixed point and critical exponent are determined, There is no fixed point in the range of 0.1λ10~9. The large λ limit, as expected, is consistent with the Ising model.
