Abstract

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Symposium on Quantum Interaction, QI 2009, held in Saarbrcken, Germany, in March 2009. The 21 revised full papers presented together with the 3 position papers were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers show the cross-disciplinary nature of quantum interaction covering topics such as computation, cognition, decision theory, information retrieval, information systems, social interaction, computational linguistics and finance.

Quantum computation and quantum information theory : reprint volume with introductory notes for ISI TMR Network School, 12-23 July 1999, Villa Gualino, Torino, Italy

Chiara Macchiavello, G. Massimo Palma, Anton Zeilinger

Quantum information theory has revolutionised our view on the true nature of information and has led to such intriguing topics as teleportation and quantum computation. The field — by its very nature strongly interdisciplinary, with deep roots in the foundations both of quantum mechanics and of information theory and computer science — has become a major subject for scientists working in fields as diverse as quantum optics, superconductivity or information theory, all the way to computer engineers. The aim of this book is to provide guidance and introduce the broad literature in all the various aspects of quantum information theory. The topics covered range from the fundamental aspects of the theory, like quantum algorithms and quantum complexity, to the technological aspects of the design of quantum-information-processing devices. Each section of the book consists of a selection of key papers (with particular attention to their tutorial value), chosen and introduced by leading scientists in the specific area. An entirely new introduction to quantum complexity has been specially written for the book

Mathematical results in quantum mechanics : proceedings of the QMath10 Conference, Moieciu, Romania, 10-15 September 2007

Ingrid Beltiţă, G. Nenciu, Radu Purice

The 10th Quantum Mathematics International Conference (Qmath10) gave an opportunity to bring together specialists interested in that part of mathematical physics which is in close connection with various aspects of quantum theory. It was also meant to introduce young scientists and new tendencies in the field. This collection of carefully selected papers aims to reflect recent techniques and results on Schroedinger operators with magnetic fields, random Schroedinger operators, condensed matter and open systems, pseudo-differential operators and semiclassical analysis, quantum field theory and relativistic quantum mechanics, quantum information, and much more. The book serves as a concise and well-documented tool for the more experimented scientists, as well as a research guide for postgraduate students.
