Abstract

By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators, we derive differential-form relations between density operators and their P -representations in the coherent state basis. Some applications of these new relations in normally ordering operators are given.

On the Weyl Ordering Operation

Hong-Yi Fan, Hai-Guang Weng

A Weyl ordering product operation (with its representative symbol) is introduced. On the basis of the operation, a technique of integration within a Weyl ordered product is put forward. Application of the technique to the coherent state representation leads us to derive the Weyl ordered forms of some important operators in quantum mechanics, which can be rigorously checked by the relation between our Weyl ordering product operation and the Weyl correspondence rule.

New approach for calculating the normally ordered form of squeeze operators

Fan Hong‐Yi, Haider R. Zaidi, John R. Klauder

A new method for directly obtaining the normally ordered form of single- and two-mode squeeze operators is presented. This method is based on the technique of ``integration within an ordered product.'' The operator expressions are derived using the coherent-state representation as well as the coordinate and the momentum representations. The method is very simple, and the approach has an intuitive basis that makes the squeezing property manifest at the outset.

New Formulation of Weyl Quantization Scheme in Coherent State Representation

Tang-Kun Liu, Hong-Yi Fan

By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators we present a new formulation of the Weyl quantization scheme in the coherent state representation, which not only brings convenience for calculating the Weyl correspondence of normally ordered operators, but also directly leads us to find both the coherent state representation and the Weyl ordering representation of the Wigner operator.

Squeezing in Representation by Quadratic Combinations ofCanonical Operators

Fan Hong-Yi, Alfred Wünsche

The technique of integration within an ordered product of operators and the coherent-state representation are used to convert exponential operators of basis operators (P 2 , Q 2 , PQ + QP) to those of the basis operators (a 2 , a †2 , a † a). The coherent state representation of unitary squeezing operators in the factorized form and their normal product form are thus derived. The squeezing engendered by operators of the general form is also obtained.

Some Expressions for Legendre Polynomials and Jacobian Polynomials Gained by Virtue of the IWOP Technique

Hong-Yi Fan, Zhongxi Zhang

By virtue of the coherent state and the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators we derive some expressions, which are in differential forms, for Legendre polynomials and Jacobian polynomials.

New Approach to the Study of Atomic Coherent State

Fan Hong‐Yi

On the basis of the technique of performing integration within ordered product proposed in our previous paper [1] and Schwinger boson representation for angular momentum, we derive new normal product forms for coset element of group and their product as well as some new operator identities which are useful in studying atomic coherent state. This new formulation provides the possibility of making use of the Glauber coherent state to find new properties of atomic system.
